Since the weekend was full of Vietnam conversation, I though you Freepers would like to know...

I've had 8 different "Swifties" on the show since April. Steve Gardner, other than O'Neil, is by far the favorite. He's back in the morning at 7:00AM (Pacific). You can listen via the stations site and audio stream.

The media keeps reporting that NONE of the "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" have ever served under/with John Kerry. This is NOT TRUE...Gardner served as his front gunner for 2.5 months of Kerry's 3 months in country!

Also, every Sunday night at 6:00PM during the month of August 1380 KTKZ is airing the 1971 O'Neil vs. Kerry Debate from the Cavett Show.

Oh, so now we're down to three months in country? This is like golf stories or fishing tales. First Kerry started at 5 months, then four, and now we're down to three. We'd better get the facts straight or we're going to come off looking foolish.

How long was Kerry actually in country? (Not counting his Gulf of Tonkin stuff.)

1 month in training. 3 months in "combat" duty.

He serve on the USS Gridley from June '67 to November '67, out in the ocean - far from Vietnam.

They he trained for his Swift Boat status for a month, then took that turn in Vietnam for THREE months.

So, final count - three months of real action then home!

I think it is better to start adding up the years he spent in VVAW and supporting it, instead of the short time he was in Vietnam. This is what made more impact on the outcome of the war.

Or maybe he was on our side before he was on the communist side or something like that.

Where was his training carried out? The one month of Swift Boat training? Was it carried out in the Mekong? If it was anyplace he could have been shot at, I'd say that counts.

That's a GREAT spin! 3 months in country and 2 years (or whatever the time was) in VVAW.

Not only that, but remember that the group's executive director was found out to be a phony who had never been to Viet Nam. Shows that Kerry either (1) didn't know Nam enough to see a clear phony or (2) know he was a phony and played politics with the truth.

I think U S Army EOD meant to focus on Kerry's treasonous activities in his work with Vietnam Veterans Against the War.

The RNC has been already focusing on Kerry's sorry record in the Senate with recent targetted TV ads.

Once this current dismemberment of Kerry's "War Hero" claims--the centerpiece of the Dem Convention and Kerry's run at the White House--has a chance to really bite in by September, the next front must be focused on Kerry's efforts to undermine America itself as he sought to undermine this country's war effort--right while men were fighting, dying and being tortured in prison.

When vivid accounts of Kerry's commie activities begin to scatter and grow across all media in September and October, the real hell will descend on Kerry and the left-wing Dems who are backing him.

3 months....just think about it.

My kids got out of school the middle of May and are going back after labor Day. According to my calender, that's about as much time as John Kerry spent in Viet Nam!

With that perspective in mind, I can't figure out how he head enough time to pose for all those pics we see of him smiling and relaxing on the Swift Boat with the rest of his crew, looking very healthy and in good spirits.

Mathematically he must have earned a metal almost once a week.

Does the DNC think we are a bunch of stupid idiots?

I've taken Kerry' advice and used my common sense and this is what I have concluded.
