To: Choose Ye This Day

He serve on the USS Gridley from June '67 to November '67, out in the ocean - far from Vietnam.

They he trained for his Swift Boat status for a month, then took that turn in Vietnam for THREE months.

So, final count - three months of real action then home!

Where was his training carried out? The one month of Swift Boat training? Was it carried out in the Mekong? If it was anyplace he could have been shot at, I'd say that counts.
