I think this might be related to a post I saw today about the IRS looking into these groups. Some of these 527s want to funnel unlimited amounts of money wherever they like but they don't want any transparency or accountability as to who their donors are and/or how much they are giving.
You know, so they can take foreign money for example to influence US elections which is against the law.
Does this sound familiar? Something about the Clinton administration and China ? Democrats could care less about the law.
