I don't post vanities.... but I am making an exception this time. I need everyone to look at what a blogger named bkm has up on their site. I found it thru a link at Instapundit.
Anti-War Activist accused of Exploiting the POW issue
Take the time to read the New York Times article under the photo..
fyi..
This isn't really a vanity, since your link is to a page with an old copy of the NY Times.
And it's a great find!
btttttttttttttttt
The blooger who found this bkm has Free Republic linked to his/her site I just noticed......a freeper maybe?
Their stupidity knows no bounds.
The vets that accused McC during a campaign stop in South Carolina were intimidated into silence by McCain and his cohorts in the media.
These Vets will not be silenced.
And McCain will be exposed for the lying opportunist he is.
No wonder he came out against these ads.......seems they are backed by some of the same folks who went after him on the POW issue last time.
Is this you?
bttt
This was such a nasty time in the US History, I personally think they should have exposed the youth of America to it a little more so they can see how bad Vets were treated when they came home. These people should have been shot for treason.
I'll betcha many families of MIA/POW's still today have a lot to say about Kerry

A lot of the youth don't have a clue of what happened back then .. all they have is what Hollywood tells them
Yes, you done good Dog.
When John Kerry testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in April 1971, he admitted that he had probably broken the law by going to Paris and meeting with North Vietnamese and Viet Cong leaders. (From page 188 of the hearing record: "I realize that even my visits in Paris . . . in a sense are on the borderline of private individuals negotiating, et cetera. I understand these things." The prohibition against private individuals negotiating--which has been on the criminal statute books since John Adams was President--is contained in 18 U.S.C. Section 953 and is a felony.)
He even admits he may have committed treason.....wow!
Well, the NYT cannot "disappear" this!
Great find.
Muy Excelente!
I'm SO blogging this.
..we shall blog on the beaches, we shall blog on the landing grounds, we shall blog in the fields and in the streets, we shall blog in the hills; we shall never surrender...
Lauded as a great 'social activist' 23 yr old Univ of Wi. "student".....
This is the Legacy of John F Kerry...and the bill of Bull Shiite he sold young Americans back in 1970....
I am so gratefull my nephews at least wont fall for this pacifist crap....both want to be US Marines...we are working on getting them into good mental and physical shape for that day
One will go next spring the other in a couple more years...and are highly motivated young men.
. . . but then, "they" weren't interested in that because "they" were the ones who supported John Kerry. To really cover the subject you would have to cover Communism, anticommunism, fairly. You would have to teach that "the McCarthy Era" was entirely unexceptional except for all the moral posers afoot at the time.
You would have to teach the fact that if the newspapers scream about being censored, you know that in fact they are free as a bird. The only way you know the news is being censored is by reading between the lines about what the reporters do not say. Yet any history of "the McCarthy Era" will use contemporaneous accounts by Americans in-country for proof. Which proves only that those who believe in "McCarthyism" are suckers.
