He has no say in this matter he was not in the same boat as kerry,he said he was in the boat next to him.
Kerry personally phoned this guy.
I wonder if Rood responded to the carrot or the stick?
Also,
I have seen other accounts that said there were 5 swift boats on the river that day.
Which is correct, 3 swift boats or 5 swift boats?
I question the timing of this article.
One should always be skeptical of anything an Old Media journalist says.
This story also contradicts the story of one of Kerry's crew members that day Micheal Mendeiros given to I believe the Boston Globe in 1996.
Rooks story says that the VC wasn't wounded but in 1996 Mendeios stated that he had shot the VC in question before John Kerry chased him down and finished him off.
Since this contradicts Kerry's own crew member (on Kerry's boat), how can this in reality add anything to the debate? It doesn't, but as always the MSM will never let the facts get in their way to put life into the lying dirtbag John Kerry.
i just read a washpost article that this guy was injured the day before the attacks and was not even at the disputed event. can anyone confirm?
Press Corps soooo disgusting

What disgusted me the most about the press conference tonight was the questions from the press corps. I mean, I knew pretty much what Bush would say, all the lies about how most Iraqis want us there and it's just a small number of terrorists and on and on. I didn't expect, but I hoped the press would ask him a few tough questions like:
1) Mr. President, what is your response to al-Sistani's threat to call for resistance if U.S. troops attack Najaf or Karbala? 2) Mr. President, al Hawza was closed because it inaccurately reported an explosion as being caused by a missile rather than a car bomb. Do you favor closing American newspapers that report inaccuracies? 3) Mr. President, there are reports that the British high command is upset with American tactics and rules of engagement. One high ranking British officer has said that the U.S. military views the Iraqis as "untermenschen". What is your response? 4) Mr. President, if criminals or terrorists were to murder and defile four security guards in Toledo, OH, would you order the electricity and water cut off in Toledo, surround it with Marines and start firing missiles at churches in Toledo?
But noooo, they ask a bunch of softball questions that do very little to inform the American people of what is really happening in Iraq. The last question was from the NPR correspondent. It was the most disgusting of all -- Mr. President, do you think your communication style leaves something to be desired? Barfff!

The fact remains 254 Swift Boat Vets can't ALL be lying. Yet we know for a FACT that Kerry is a lying weazel oportunistic gigilo.

This story is being reported as Rood and Kerry being the only ones (surviving) there on that day. NOT TRUE!!! Even Rood admits that he and Kerry are the only surviving OFFICERS that were there that day.
The liberal elitism of that statement is galling to me as though to impugn the integrity of the enlisted folks who were present as well. Does Mr. Rood suggest that the enlisted men who were there were incapable of seeing what happened? That their version is inherently false and should be disregarded? That, as officers, only he and Kerry are capable of honestly reporting the events?
How convenient.
May be Kerry just called to verify information in the DNC/Hilary FBI files.
...Unmentioned by Rood in his Chicago Tribune report is the account of Tom Bellodeau, who, unlike Rood, was actually aboard Kerry's boat when the VC in question leveled his grenade launcher at them.
"You know, I shot that guy," Bellodeau told the Boston Globe during a 1996 interview, correcting an earlier Globe report that echoed Kerry's claim that he alone had neutralized the enemy ambusher. ""
