i just read a washpost article that this guy was injured the day before the attacks and was not even at the disputed event. can anyone confirm?

Well that's interesting as hell. Where does it say he wasn't there? One would *assume* he wasn't due to the injury but....
And, unfortunately, Mr Rood is conveniently unavailable for further interviews. (any bets he will speak-up as his story comes under fire?)
