Five Signs That the Swifties Ad is Killing Kerry!
self | 8/21/04 | LS

Posted on 08/21/2004 5:57:50 AM PDT by LS

As a followup to my column yesterday ("The Willie Horton Moment": http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1195371/posts) there are several indicators now that the Seiftboat ads are positively KILLING Kerry's campaign. Here are five:

1) Eleanor Clift (I think it was her---I didn't look at the face associated with the voice debating Jim Pinkerton on "Fox and Friends") used the phrase "it's not fair" TWICE in five minutes to describe the Swiftboat ads and Teresa's comment that her husband wasn't qualified to be president of the United States. (By the way, has anyone noticed on all videos of Teresa and Kerry together---which I only paid attention to this a.m.---that she physically pulls away from him and REFUSES to kiss him?? Whazzup with that?)

2) Kerry has filed an FEC suit. This is a sure sign of desperation when you call in the lawyers and the government. It means he's already lost in the arena of ideas and perceptions. Moreover, the DEMS know that the FEC won't do anything and can't do anything without curtailing Kerry's own 527s. Still, it's a sign he's on DEFENSE . . . again!

3) Just two weeks ago, the headline was that Kerry was going to take time off from campaigning. Now, he's in full campaign mode, and even the papers are noting that no candidate in history has ever campaigned during the other party's convention. Heheheheh.

4) Kerry's campaign announced it was spending $500,000 in battleground states to counter the ads! This is money he doesn't have. His own 527s can't counter this, because merely DENYING THE ISSUE keeps it on the front burner. He's playing defense, part 2.

5) The NEWS is now citing that the ads are having an effect. Fox, for instance, mentioned (twice!) the poll that showed 44% of independents had seen the ad and that it had changed their perception of Kerry.

Oh, and here's a bonus, #6: TWICE, today, Eleanor Clift and or the Fox team used the term "lie" or "lies" as associated with KERRY. It doesn't matter if he's "denying" that he "lied," he is now CLINTONIZED and the trust issue is absolutely key when it comes to national security and the War on Terror. If the public doesn't think they can trust Kerry to tell the truth on Vietnam, they won't trust him on Fallujah.

Heheh. Stand back, folks and watch spontaneous combustion of a campaign. It's a beautiful sight, especially when you think that it also cost George Soros $63 million George Washingtons!

Ain't it amazing that a handful of vets, armed with the truth and less than a million dollars can do more than one clown with 63 million? Gives me hope.

"Stand back, folks and watch spontaneous combustion of a campaign."

LOL, let's keep our fingers crossed! I said to hubby last night as we were leaving work "Hurry up! I want to get home and watch the Kerry campaign melt down!"

I really treasure the idea that he is telling bookstores not to sell the book, who does he think he is, Sadam Hussein? If he's trying this sh*t as a candidate, what will he attempt to do as president?

If you are on Kerry's team how do you deal with the Swifties? Filing an action with the FEC does nothing but give the ad more exposure. Call fellow vets liars? Don't think that will work. He is in a real jam here. Does anyone see any Dem politicians coming to his defense? I cannot think on one.

Well, Kerry can still sell his soul for an election win...

Or has he already bargained that away???

Too bad the Dems put all their ducks on Kerry..
Even Dean would have been better, considering..

What's the odds on Hillary at this point??

The Swift Boat Veterans recieved money from a Texas Republican, therefore their claims are false.

AND the guts to step up for the truth and take the heat............which is more than I can say for most of the GOP!!!!!! When President Bush wins a second term, he and Rove had better thank the Swiftees AND the grassroots efforts.

The democrats had one of the biggest fields they have ever run, yet some moron at the DNC decided that none of them should be vetted by a decent primary. They silenced all the candidates and ran a smiley face campaign. This is the result.

Terry McAwful has been the greatest gift the democrats ever gave the republicans.

Their 527's spend $63 million and ours spend $1 million.

Guess who gets all the scrutiny? Guess who they say is coordinating?

If I was advising Kerry, I'd tell him and his cronies not to talk about the ads, not to mention them, to say, "They have their story, we have ours. Our man is a hero" and not say another word or run an ad. This issue can only HURT Kerry, no matter what he says about it.

Joh Kerry has a guilty conscience over his lifetime of lies, and like a lot of other exposed liars, he's starting to crack.

It is not going to be pretty.
