Slapout? I always have to turn the other cheek. My Casbah may be a melon. Wait, maybe that's a cabosh?

Your writing style will change, I promise. Has anyone else experienced this?

Seriously? Yes. Absolutely.

I used to read them when I was a KID, fah hevinsakes. My grandmother had a thing for trashy detective magazines. It was then that I first became acquainted with the word sexy and asked her what it meant. LOL

There's nothing better than enjoying a nice pint at a polish bar in Greenpoint, Bklyn.

Oh yeah.

Use Italics tags when quoting someone else. It makes it easier to understand the nature of the post. Italics tags are (no spaces).

Tell me how.

No that is not nice. I do not know what is not good, but I will not do that, I like America and America persons. I know you are good person.

I like honest persons. You're not one. You are Bogdan Polska. I have no idea why you've been allowed to play this little game of yours *yet again*, but you're not fooling anyone who encountered you before.

And this lame Boris-and-Natasha imitation of yours is getting very very OLD already.

Go ahead and use the Abuse button. That's what the forum owner put it there for. I dare you. Be sure to click the little box that signs your name to the report.

First of all this is a great website for finding unfiltered information and a far better place to find out what is going on than any other media outlet. However, it can be quite daunting to post especially if one's opinions don't follow the majority. Here some observations I've made while lurking...
1. The great majority of people are very kind, but the few who are way out there can be very vicious
2. Not everyone is a computer genius, so cut a little slack
3. As in the Danny Pearl family posting, some of us found our way here due to a highly publicized death of a family member. We do read people's opinions and at times it can be hurtful.
4. But all in all, best website out there.

Recommendation for really really new people, read and read and then read some more. You'll find out the informal rules.

Some were astoundingly good - Raymond Chandler could be encountered there. And there were odd bits of knowledge to be stashed away - not a lot of people realize that "bimbo" used to refer to a male gangster, or where to get brass knuckles, or the proper employment of a blackjack...
