Tucker Carlson just said that CNN has been notified that the Kerry camp will seek to have the goverment pull the Swift Boat veterans for Truth ads.
(Excerpt) Read more at cnn.com ...
"First lawyers to hit TV stations.
Then private investigators to dig up dirt on the Swifty's.
Now an FCC complaint."
John O'Neill and the Swifties better stay away from Fort Marcy Park.
I voted for Lazio and I just gave the Swiftvets $50. Not bragging, just committed.
This reminds me of Jim Carey's movie Liar Liar.
"Your honor...I OBJECT !!!"
"On what grounds?"
"Because it is devastating for my client"

Pingola.
Kerry responds to the latest ad (so fast my head is still spinning)

I'm just now jumping into this thread so I apologize if I'm making a point already made. That said. . .
This is a huge risk for the Kerrisites. A very public slapdown by the FCC will just add to their woes. They must see catasrophe in their future to roll the dice like this.
Hey Kerry: Go to hell.
Now The Great One is going after McVain.
I bought the book at Booksamillion yesterday (in stock) and today I received an email saying the books were backordered.
That is a lame response...
See my post #540 on this thread. I share your concerns.
Kerry Campaign Statement on New Swift Boat Veterans for Bush Ad
8/20/2004 5:16:00 PM
>My only concern about this the FEC. It is supposed to be
>bipartisan, split equally between Deomcrats and Republicans.
>I seem to recall Clinton drug his feet on Republican
>appointments so the Democrats had a majority for a while.
True. Then again, will Clinton appointees do anything that favors a guy who could keep Hillary from becoming president in 2008?
By the way, why are there so many leftover democratic appointees in the bureaucracy? Didn't Bush do a proper purging of the old guard when he was elected?

Thanks for that.
I'll make good use of it.
I just saw this. I was for the issues before I was against the issues.
And that's all it amounts to...frivolous allegations that won't go anywhere. They're just doing this to create the appearance of improprieties on the Bush and Vets side. When they can't respond with facts, they create smoke and mirrors to blur the view. Like throwing a cog in the wheel.
Mark Levin is talking about this right now, saying any moron can file a complaint, but it takes months and months for the complaint to be resolved. The Kerry campaign is saying that the Vet ads are promoting the election of George Bush...which we know they aren't. Bush hasn't even been mentioned in any of their ads.
