Folks, we are confronted with a clear and present danger to our freedom and the nation we love. We must do our part to maintain our freedom to speak out. Over broken glass, we must go to the polls and make sure this undemocratic, unpatriotic traitor doesn't get elected.

It's WAR I tell you, we all have learned how JFKerry fought in Vietnam, and about "self-inflicted" wounds.

I love this quote from the biased NY Times article:
As Mr. Lonsdale explained it: "We won the battle. Kerry went home and lost the war for us."

Now, that was weird. I was posting at a completely different thread and this one popped up with my reply. Whoah!

"I'll disagree with you about Colmes. I totally disagree with him on most issues, but he is about as fair as libs come, and he does very little, if any, yelling."
Nope, doesn't yell. Just talks, talks, talks, and give the conservative side very little time to respond. An when he ask a conservative a question, he butts in and then spins. He is a mess.

I agree. It was a big mistake for Kerry to make the convention about Vietnam and national security and attack Bush on Bush's strength's, losing his opportunity to emphasize before a national audience the issues where he polls better. And it is a mistake to began a debate over Vietnam war military service just before the post-Labor Day campaign begins.

""I am enjoying this..Matthews frothing at the mouth was not helpful to Kerry either..."
I bet 60% of his viewers are Republicans who like to yell at their tv. "
This guy is a class dunce. I quit watching his show a long time ago. You can always spot a empty head, they have to yell and talk fast. That's the mark of an stone cold idiot.

Great points...and it will indeed be interesting to see how Big Media actually handles this...we've already seen Chris Matthews virtually implode on Whiffleball on PMSNBC. Small wonder Michelle Malkin didn't just reach over and slug the guy.

Maybe the Kerry camp is counting on its friends in the press to spin their side (as the NY Times does on the front page this morning) in a way that limits the damage or even precipitates a backlash against President Bush. That's the only thing about this "swiftee" story which worries me. The so-called mainstream media is still a very powerful weapon in the Dem corner. If they can turn it against the President, they will. Nevertheless, I'm happy Kerry's past is finally catching up to him:
What's behind those lying eyes?

Mistake #7: The Kerry campaign further ingrains itself as the party of censorship by asking the FEC and FCC to ban the ads from the SwiftVets.

What is really problematic for the Kerry campaign is this will eventually segue into Kerry's antiwar conduct when he came home from Vietnam. That's already begun with ad #2.

Soros really ought to be THE story of this election cycle.
Here you have a mysterious billionaire who has already been implicated in engineering the Asian economic crisis trying to manipulate the outcome of a US election. He has sworn to do "whatever it takes" to defeat Bush, and he's not even a US citizen???
And the media talks about a measly $100K out of (gasp!) Texas.
To: MEG33
Yeah, that's what I'd like to ask Kerry: "What is it Senator: Where you the valiant war hero on the rivers of Vietnam, or the war criminal you testified to in 1971?"

That's the nature of the show. Hannity does that just as much as Colmes.

Very good article! Thank you for posting it.
Although this is not his first mistake. I hope it is the fatal one though.
Kerry such a hypocrit. To call out Bush, "bring it on"...and then try to SHUT IT DOWN! He questions Bush's contribution to the Military and cries when someone questions his! What an arrogant ASS!
