Bonaparte -
I just listened to that ad! Devastating to Kerry. Another one. I hardly see how he can go forward being the candidate.
I do have a question: Is that just an internet ad or what is the likelihood of the GOP using that ad on television?
I've seen that and think I have it saved.
Parts of this would make a devastating ad campaign. I always think the best thing to do to Kerry is use his OWN words against him.
"In my opinion, the contact information deserves a thread of its own, or at the very least, notice of it in this thread's headline." I concur. We need to flood them for days with contempt - by fax & phone & email - shut them down. Slime them on every radio station, every op-ed page, every blog. MSNBC should be the first object lesson in the new media war. Kerry and his sycophants say bring it on? They want to attack honorable men and women without even the courtesy of fact-checkng their talkng points? Fine by me. SHUT THEM DOWN.
He proved this recently by remarking about how "country" Bush's accent has been getting.
The GOP can't play the Swifties ad because that would be collusion "outlawed" by McPain/Finemold (boy, they've really improved things, haven't they?). It IS a devastating ad and I'll bet it will be on Brit Hume's show this evening. I've heard it on Rush and Hannity today. In appreciation, I'm sending the Swifties $50 more and Amazon promises me that my book will be shipped next week.
Good for you! They need our support. I read today that the publisher has ordered another 500,000 copies because of demand.
bttt...
I don't see that he or the democrats have much choice at this point. The only way he could withdraw his candidacy without sinking the democratic party would be by dying or suffering, say, a severely disabling stroke. Then they could run Hillary, Edwards or whoever and get some traction on the sympathy factor.
There is nothing I would put past the democrats.
Haven't watched much of Hardball since the 2000 campaign. But I caught Michelle Malkin on Hardball last night. Chris Matthews was beyond rude, he was a loose cannon. Matthews wouldn't let Malkin answer even one question without interrupting her. A total jerkface!
I have not been able to determine the creator of that ad -- or whether the GOP can use it. Sorry.
I just read that entire transcript and now i feel dumber after having done so. That Chris Mathews is an IDIOT! No wonder no one watches him.
Thanks for trying, Bonaparte. I'd love to see the first minute of it on television. Powerful ad. Very powerful.
BTW, the Kerry camp is now asking the FEC to pull the Swift Boat vets ads!
Thread on FR now.
I believe that what the Swift Vets are doing right now is more effective than what the Bush campaign itself is doing. And I also believe Bush knows this.
Kerry will be speaking to the annual convention of the American Legion in about a week or so. I think their delegates are meeting this year at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Nashville, Tennessee, Aug 27-Sep 2. If Swift Vets were to show up on the 27th and hand out to these delegates and officers complimentary copies of "Unfit For Command," I think that would be a very fine gesture of appreciation, don't you?
Visualize hundreds of turned backs during Kerry's AL address -- with film footage on evening news coverage. As Sam Cooke would say, "That's Heaven To Me."
In your living room, you don't have Matthews sitting in front of you, interrupting you at every third word, launching spittle in your direction.
How was she supposed to defend ANYTHING she had to say, when Matthews simply would NOT permit her to finish a sentence?
We must have been watching different shows, because I saw no opportunity for Malkin to get a word in edgewise.
Bump.
Check your local Sam's Wholesaler. I saw a rack of 30 at the store I went to today (and hid the book My Lie while I was there)
Hey xs, do you happen to know any of the martial arts? ;)
Did you know that slime mold has over forty different sexualities? That's something interesting for Olberman to report on. Slime mold sex.
Speaking of Constitutional Conventions ... we've got to be having one. All the risks and dangers of so doing -- we need to tackle them head on.
unfortunately i don't, but do i share bonaparte's fantasy of seeing his butt thrashed.
