It'll freeze down below before the liberals in the Northeast realize we've got a problem. Got to give NY credit though, they are going after illegals who fraudulently hold drivers licenses. But then even it took the disaster of 9/11 to wake them up.

If I ask a business if they use it and they say no then I go elsewhere.
Well here is something some in GWB's Adminstration said at the time Mexico's corrupt government refused to go alone with GWB's plans for Saddam.
"Mexico, the United States and Iraq Time to be counted," Feb 27th 2003, The Economist (print edition - Mexico City)
"One American diplomat has given warning that a Mexican No could 'stir up feelings' against Mexicans in the United States. He draws comparisons with the Japanese-Americans who were interned after 1941, and wonders whether Mexico 'wants to stir the fires of jingoism during a war'". [end excerpt] Others have said the diplomats who were visiting Mexico City at the time were Marc Grossman and Kim Holmes.
Typical of modern day Republican politics. The comment is actually backwards. It is Bush who needs to get in step with the party's platform. In Texas when it's platform didn't suit him he just chose to ignore the parts he didn't like.
Finally--somebody has the guts to tell the truth. Watch Heather MacDonald get smeared as a racist.
Actually, I believe that the accusation of 'racism' is going to mean less and less as more and more Americans are faced with these difficult issues. The more denials there are of the problems caused by massive immigration (legal or illegal), the more people are going to realize that those who screech 'racism' are shoving 'Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?' down their throats.
As for my neighborhood--71 units of low-income Latino housing being built down the street, 178 more planned in the near future, 140 already existing, and a resulting exodus of long-term and short-term residents beginning. Too much graffiti and crime showing their ugly heads.
There is going to be a big problem for those with open borders.
Texas found al Qaeda coming through disguised as Mexicans and getting deeply embedded in communities.
Look for this to become a major thorn of a national issue soon.
Nor learn our laws or respect our Constitution. They are content just sitting around drinking beer, playing La Musica and making babies.
I remember when Selena was killed, Mexicans built all kinds of shrines to her, but when 9/11 happened I saw only a few American flags in Mexican neighborhoods.
If you can't be an American then go back where you came from.
We're almost there. I know people here in the Metroplex that have moved 30 to 40 miles away from the city to get away from this problem. Others I know will soon follow.
But, considering the cost of fuel and the commute time - how far is too far? And besides, why should people have to pack up and move just because government is not doing their job.
It's a pathetic situation if you ask me.
In the future, I see the American tax payer being forcibly assessed millions upon millions of dollars to pay the attorneys for these monsters, who'll be set free to kill and plunder again and again. I would imagine the legal profession in America are thinking they have died and gone to heaven. At last, a built in criminal class they can exploit, along with the tax payers.
Since the Mexicans will outvote us, we have no choice in determining what our future will be. It is in the hands of the Mexicans, thanks to our glorious politicians.
This issue might very well cost Bush the election, and if a terror attack occurs and it is determined that the terrorists crossed illegally over the southern boarder then Bush will be thrown out of office, in disgrace for his refusal to do a damn thing about the on going illegal invasion.
Also I believe the voters are smart enough to remember when Kerry told the Mexicans that he would give them immediate citizenship if elected, and they'll remember his wife telling the Muslims that they would not do racial profiling if Kerry was elected.
That means if Kerry is elected every little white grandma in America will be striped searched, while the young middle eastern men will go free.
At least I hope voters are smart enough to remember all that.
We're going to have to wait until we can elect someone who wants to solve the problem other than with amnesties and scam guest worker programs. Even Reagan admitted what he did in 1986 was a big mistake, now they want to do it again. It's crazy.
Beyond liberal abstract mumbo jumbo what is it exactly that these beltway Brahmans wish to conserve?
Brilliantly put! The "New Republicans" (the free-trade/open borders elitists) are not only determined to shut blue-collar conservatives out of "big tent" over this enforcement issue, they're trying to cloak themselves in the very definition they no longer deserve.
For years Democrats have accused the Republicans of being the party of the wealthy and corrupt. This convention will reveal if conservatives are still in the tent or if it's been picked up and moved to left field while we stood fast.
If I'm being played for a pawn this will be the last year I press the "R" button. The nation's interests come first.
Its all about the questions we ask of our liberal elite (R or D) that we break their authority and begin to save America for our posterity. If we can break thru their hate words especially that hoax "racism" than we can effect the great changes needed. The problem I see with conservatives is that we are trained to squeal or bark at liberalism like Pavlov's dogs, but we never really question its validity.
Don't you believe it! Check this out from"Playing Games with Security".
"The announcement of the new border-patrol authority was coupled with border-loosening measures. For many years, Mexicans seeking to shop or visit relatives in border areas in the U.S. have been able to get border-crossing cards (informally known as "laser visas"), which are multiple-entry permits good for travel within the border region for visits of less than 72 hours. The new policy will allow visits of up to 30 days at a time allowing Mexicans, in effect, to live in the U.S. indefinitely, so long as they go home once each month. The motivation for the new rule is clear from the press release: "This decision was closely coordinated between Secretary for Homeland Security Tom Ridge and Mexican Secretary of Government Santiago Creel."
A very excellent post! I agree totally. Not only are they shutting out the working-class Republicans but they're also trying to get rid of the Christian Right - both categories that represent me and my family. This is the "make or break" year for me, too!
