Ungrateful bas%^@#%%^@%
And the Pearls don't want Cheney to use their son's name while campaigning either. These are historical facts and shouldn't have limits placed on them. The other side recognizes no limits in what they use in campaigns.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Sadir is an ungrateful Baathist swine.
Did Sports Illustrated not talk to any of the other Iraqi athletes?
where was all the outrage when mochael moore used footage from a us soldier's funeral without permission in his moneymaking film??
selective outrage on display.
"Iraq as a team does not want Mr. Bush to use us for the presidential campaign," Sadir told SI.com through a translator, speaking calmly and directly. "He can find another way to advertise himself."
Just goes to show that, truly, no good deed goes unpunished.
Hey, Sadir, if you had lost that game at the last Olympics, you might have been tortured or beaten or killed by your wonderful leaders before President Bush came along. Think about it.
There is a damn good chance that the Iraqi's could care less if they have a right to vote. As with many here in this country they seem to just want the Big Man to take care of them.
Unreal. Just unreal.
I bet this isn't the same team that was made to kick around concrete soccer balls as punishment for losing...
To a man, members of the Iraqi Olympic delegation say they are glad that former Olympic committee head Uday Hussein, who was responsible for the serial torture of Iraqi athletes and was killed four months after the U.S.-led coalition invaded Iraq in March 2003, is no longer in power.
Remember, everything we read here is filtered through a liberal reporter with an agenda.
Hmm. One can only imagine how the question was framed to illicit this type of response.
In fact, Manajid says, if he were not playing soccer he would "for sure" be fighting as part of the resistance.
Cane their feet until their attitude improves.
Guess he preferred the way Uday (or Qusay) treated them.
Take their balls away.
What about the Iraqi soccer players whom Uday used to torture? Anybody ask them what they think about Bush?
