More to the point, Satan was the "Father of Lies", which means he was the founding father of politics.
exactly.
They should be more concerned about how the terrorists would vote.
I agree. He'd be turning tables over left and right.
BINGO!
There is always some leftwingnut group trying to use Jesus to promote their self serving agenda.
There are the PETA freaks who claimed that Jesus was a vegitarioan despite the fact that Jesus was clearly an observant Jew and ate meat his whole life.
There are the envirowackos with the "what would Jesus drive" stupidity.
There are the butt pirates who try to promote that Jesus was a homosexual.
And now there is a group of goofballs who believe that Jesus would vote for the party that supports all the garbage that the 'Rats cater to like abortion, homosexual marriage, abdicating personal responsibility, elimination of God in our public lives, ad nauseum.
I am assuming, of course, that there are some Dems who, for one reason or another (naive, ill-informed, misguided)are potentially save-able.
Jesus can work miracles!
Just like the Democrats, Jesus is well known for his support of unfettered abortion.
Jesus can work miracles!
Of course! Then they become republicans!
I'm pretty sure that Jesus would not have voted for abortion, pornography, and gay marriage.
"I think the carpenter from Galilee was the original Democrat."
No, that would be Judas, who wanted to sell Jesus' balm and "give it to the poor."
"Careful, JMT. It was Christianity that started the argument over what the definition of "is" is.
"This is my body, given for you..." (emphasis mine)
Shalom."
Yes, Christ was and "is" a very controversial figure and there is nothing new under the sun. Things are on course just as it is written they would be.
Thank you for your kind post. Jesus certainly must have known that the political system of his time would pass, just as surely as the political system of our time will pass. The "system" he belongs to is eternal.
Ain't THAT the truth.
After you've rendered what is God's to God, what exactly remains?
Great tag line!
Dwight Pryor (www.jcstudies.com) claims this is precisely what Jesus meant. When he showed the Jews the face on the coin he was showing them a graven image of one of the Roman gods. He was pointing out that the entire debate demonstrated that the Jews were playing at religion and quibbling over details rather than giving their entire lives over to G-d as He required of them.
Shalom.
Of course, The Bible is G-d's inerrant witness to His Holy Word, Jesus. However, we are not inerrant interpreters of His witness.
IMHO: become a disciple of Jesus and the rest will work itself out.
Shalom.
You don't even have to look for rights given by the Creater. How about rights given by the Constitution? You have a right to an abortion, but not a right to bear arms? What kind of carp is that? Only a Dimocrat could twist reality this badly.
Shalom.

This is very true, a life long lesson requires continued study, always more to learn.
