Yes, Christ was and "is" a very controversial figure and there is nothing new under the sun.

Of course, The Bible is G-d's inerrant witness to His Holy Word, Jesus. However, we are not inerrant interpreters of His witness.

IMHO: become a disciple of Jesus and the rest will work itself out.
