August 19, 2004 -- REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Laci Peterson's furious mother called her son-in-law a "f---ing liar" and begged him to tell her where he ditched the body, it was revealed yesterday — as Scott Peterson's murder trial screeched to a halt due to a mysterious "potential development Sharon Rocha became convinced of Peterson's guilt in January 2003, not long after his affair with Amber Frey became public.

I wonder if Laci came into the marriage with money in the bank. I guess I'd like to see the books to see if Laci stopped writing checks to Scott. Was selling the jewelry the NEW way that Scott sought money from Laci or was he just counting up Laci's assets INCLUDING the very big insurance policy. Don't forget, some were sold. Others were only appraised.

Sure would be interesting if the jewelry Scott gave Amber came from Laci's collection. The jewelry issue came up early (and involved a family feud) since it was inherited. Was Scott ignorant of inheritance laws? and was there an "assignment" of the jewelry in case of laci's death?

Justin Falconer wouldn't convict Scott if Justin himself was the one who dumped Laci overboard. He considers Peterson's behavior ' just something guys do to get chicks'.

Too many men are dismissing Scott's lying as typical male behavior. It's pathetic.

And when he denies his guilt, he ALWAYS uses the same phrase: "I had nothing to do with it" or "I had nothing to do with Laci's disappearance."

It all depends on how jurors interpret his denials; the impression left with those statements could be he knows who did it. If that's the case he's not doing himself any favors by taking the rap. The only logical conclusion then to draw is he did it.

Most men I think you'll find will want Peterson to get what he deserves if he's found guilty. Lying to get chicks is a little different than murdering them and their babies.

I think those that think like Falconer might have more than a few of Scott Peterson's traits themselves. When I heard Falconer talk on one of the t.h. shows, I got a sort of chill and wondered if any ladies from his life had turned up missing.

"I read that one of the 3 witnesses, that WERE going to go on today, was Lee Peterson."

Did the prosecution subpeona Lee Peterson as one of their witnesses? If not the prosecution has not rested their case so Gagagross could not be calling any witnesses yet, only cross examine.

Yes, several Talking Heads have mentioned that it's just the way men are. It tell me a great deal about those men, not all men.

Did you listen to the interview of Falconer by John and Ken? Now there's two guys if they have their way Peterson won't see the light of day again. They were not too kind to Falconer at all and his reasoning.

Good point. I myself wondered if Falconer had a crush on Scott. Scary that someone with his low IQ could be on a jury.

I felt so sad for Sharon Rocha while reading the transcript; her begging him to let her have Laci's body; him replying in that smug way of his. I don't know how she kept herself from personally going over there and ripping his fat head off. I don't think I could have had the restraint if in the same situation. God bless her.

If he were innocent, wouldn't you think he would be more upset in all these phone calls where people ask him about Laci??

He never shows any emotion, and he never searched for her. He's a creep, and I hope he frys.

why does Snott keep apologizing to Sharon when she askes where Laci is ? to me that says it all .... if he were innocent he certainly would not be apologizing, he would be declaring his innocence.... not just his patent statement. He must have needed more time after reporting Laci's disappearance, to clean up so he made them get a search warrant. This made Snott look very guilty from the very start but he probably saved his @ss by needing a little more time to bury, wash or hide some things.

And one more thing, how come Snott isn't in a state of shock as anyone would be after losing a loved one (or 2)? In shock one is not able to respond immediately as their thoughts are preoccupied with the events of the past. We all know Snott's mind is preoccupied with having to remember all his BS from the past, but that's his way of life and he is used to that, but he shows no signs of genuine emotion.

Good luck in Vegas, I wonder if there is a junkyard for machines that paid off too much ? I wonder if there ever was any machine that paid off too much ?? lol

If I have to hear that whiny, baby voice one more time I'm going to stick ice picks in my ears. But if he wanted to dump her overboard too...less pain for me. Can't we just get this case over with. I am soooooo sick of the Peterson case...and Kobe too.

You don't like someone's voice, so you want her killed? How nice of you.

Not sure if this is the only thing Geragos is wanting to know if this has anything to do in relation in freeing his client?

OMG I hope not. I had the worst nightmare last night..it was SP walking out of prison with that smirk on his face and Amber shaking in her boots

Don't want anybody killed. Both trial cases (peterson and kobe)are given way too much air time, IMHO. By your comment to me, I rest my case.

Oh, definitely! I was skeptical of him from the beginning, but when the trial began, I really tried to keep an open mind, just as I would if I were on the jury. As the trial progressed and his behaviors were disclosed, for me, it is easy to see that he committed this crime. No one that cared about a "lost" person would behave in the way that he has, especially if it was your 8 month pregnant wife!! You would be beside yourself, not playing this little phone game with Amber. I certainly hope he is found guilty......I personally don't care if he gets life in prison (with NO chance of parole) or if it's death. I think life in prison just may be more punishment for someone like him. I really hope the jury can see this right and the right verdict is given.

Why would Gragaros leet it go on and on at "a public attorney rate" if he thought his client was going to be convicted in the long run.

Lets not forget MG in deep do do now because I understand Dr Henry Lee has refused to testify..

One story I heard was that Lee would testify, but not the way Geragos wanted. Sounds like whatever theory he had in mind wasn't going to fly.
