Of course he will lose and backing a slave reparations plan isn't the way to attract conservative votes downstate. And Alan's pro-life position won't win him any support in Chicago. I agree politicians have to broaden their appeal to have the chance to win and Alan's clumsily charged out of the starting gate. It may turn out to be a lesson in how not to run a winning Senate campaign.

It isn't a flip-flop but a true exposure of faulty taxation schemes. Fingering an "ultra" conservative along with reparations is slam agenda. Wouldn't it be great for someone to enlighten the brainwashed that elimination of tax schemes are GOOD and that endless feeding of wasteful bureaucracy and getting absolutely NOTHING in return is BAD!

some of what the article points out... is pretty funny.

I remember the body surfing at the concert incident. What kind of "saavy smart guy" believes Michael Moore?

I didn't know that had anything to do with Michael Moore. That's about the third or fourth thing I've learned about tonight...

For the endless Rat followers weened on the government to "awaken" and see that all they have been fed are lies. Chicago and other metro areas plagued by bad values can be given faith that individual choices can make a POSITIVE difference in ones life is the opportunity that Keyes has to share. Bring the message home to every poverty stricken and drug invested HUD project: Making a differences starts with yourself, not the State!

My opine,

Keyes fames out.

Talk about pouring gasoline on your head and lighting you your cigar.

This is the picture that Keyes stance on these issues paints for me.

Keyes paid himself $100,000 out of his campaign funds when he ran for Paul Sarbanes’ U.S. Senate seat in 1992

that was news to me...
I didn't even know he ran.
Do all candidates get money to pay themselves a salary, or was this for some reason out of the ordinary, that they tried to make him pay it back?

Is Kerry getting paid to run against bush, a salary in ADDITION to the day job he has not resigned, but for which he collects a paycheck from you and me, regularly?

We oughtta run for office.
100 grand for running for office?
for what, six months just prior to the polls?

lots a dough for a short period of time.
