New York eatery especially for kitties and their owners

NEW YORK - Dressed in a tuxedo, Simba sat at the front of one of Manhattan’s newest dining establishments and nodded at people who greeted him.

Then he yawned, began to roll on the floor and lick his paws.

That’s acceptable behavior at the Meow Mix Cafe, a new eatery designed especially for cats and their human owners.

And just which health official was bribed to allow this restaurant to open!? What next? Seafood restaurants for goldfish? Salad bars for horses? Gimme a break.

No catnip allowed? What kind of cat would want to eat at this silly place?

Anybody who really knows and understands cats will not take a cat to a place like this.

they'd hate it.

( It's not a Korean-owned joint is it? )

:-)

In high school we dissected dead cats. We stuck unlit cigarettes in their mouths during the slicing and dicing.

This writer has never been on the staff of a cat, that's for sure.

This strikes me as kind of vile. So do they ask for your cat's vaccination records at the door too?

And one more thing; why is there no such thing as mouse flavored cat food?

I don't think people really get to eat there. Humans can get little snack things while their mews enjoy their repasts.

For each Meow Mix flavor, owners can enjoy a comparable dish. For instance, while cats eat Fillet Meow -- beef in gravy -- their owners will be offered tenderloin of beef with horseradish sauce on a baguette.

And it still got by health inspectors.

Yuck and a ewww too. :-p

“Our goal is to keep cats happy,” Thompson said. “The idea is that you can bring them and start socializing them.”

I love cats but cats are not very social. They do love good food.
