Did Edwards Say the Other Day Kerry Had Shrapnel? (vanity)

Please excuse the vanity, but I briefly recall Edwards saying the other day that Kerry still had schrapnel in him along with a statement about bleeding in Vietnam.
Is this true?

Well, if it is, then you can see it. My Viet Nam hubby was shot in the back and legs. I could always see the shrapnel. It's a bit gray and in pieces.
