The Florida Fiasco of 2000, with hanging chads, butterfly ballots and Supreme Court intervention, forced Americans to confront an ugly reality. The U.S. has the sloppiest election systems of any industrialized nation, so sloppy that at least eight of the 19 hijackers who attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were actually able to register to vote in either Virginia or Florida while they made their deadly preparations for 9/11.
In Stealing Elections, John Fund takes the reader on a national tour of voter fraud scandals ranging from rural states like Texas and Mississippi to big cities such as Philadelphia and Milwaukee. He explores dark episodes such as the way "vote brokers" stole a mayoral election in Miami in 1998 by tampering with 4700 absentee ballots. He shows how, in the aftermath of the Motor Voter Law of 1993, Californians used mail-in forms to get absentee ballots for fictitious people and pets, while in St. Louis it was discovered that voter rolls included 13,000 more names than the U.S. Census listed as the total number of adults in the city.
Election officials try to reassure voters by turning to computerized voting machines. But Fund shows that with the new technology come even greater concerns. Early in 2004, for instance, the state of Maryland, which has 16,000 new Diebold machines, commissioned a security expert to try to rig a practice election. He and his team broke into the computer at the State Board of Elections, completely changed the outcome of the election, left, and erased their electronic trailall in under five minutes.
Stealing Elections gives us a chilling portrait of our electoral vulnerabilityin the 2004 presidential election and on into the future. Writing with urgency and authority, John Fund shows how a lethal combination of bureaucratic bungling and ballot rigging have put our democracy at risk.
John Fund is a member of the Wall Street Journal's editorial board and writes the paper's daily Political Diary. He has written on voter fraud and election irregularities for the last decade in the Wall Street Journal, New Republic, American Spectator and other publications. In the past year, Fund has made over 90 appearances on Fox News, MSNBC, C-Span, and CNBC.

West Virginia is a case in point. There are Democrat politicians under inditement in Logan County, with more to come, for vote-buying. It's been going on forever in the Mountain State, and everybody knows it.
Not entirely true. You can get it done, just don't depend on your AG. Those voter registration rolls are public. You can get them and have a private group send off postcards to start the validation process.

Vote Fraud Ping!
bttt
Bump!
What I find just incredible is the fact that a picture
ID is not required.
One would think if the goal of voting is to make certain each voter has his/her vote properly recorded, controls would verify the legitimacy of the voter
Isn't the legitimate voter cheated when an invalid vote is
recorded?
Please Pass Emergency Anti-Vote Fraud Measure Immediately!
Vote fraud threatens the very core of our republic, and it directly threatens our sovereignty
Please send the following message to your Congressmen and Senators:
Please pass, on an expedited basis, emergency legislation to require voters to show ID at all polling places on Election Day.
Vote fraud threatens the very core of our republic, and it directly threatens our sovereignty. There is a significant amount of evidence emerging that evinces a wide-spread plot to engage in massive voter fraud. Thus, Congress must take immediate action to counter this potential menace.
Congress has the express power to dictate the time, place, and manner in which federal elections are held. The congressional power to make or alter time, place, or manner of federal elections extends to the regulation of voter registration. Federal regulation of the electoral processes, including the regulation of federal voter registration, is also consistent with the Tenth Amendment and permissible; although states do have broad discretion to enact and implement registration procedures, states may not transgress the Constitution. It follows that state voter registration and Election Day statutes that are inconsistent with federal voter registration and Election Day mandates are preempted.
As per the Federal Court in Byrd v. Brice, the government may require a voter to furnish proof of identity at the polling place on Election Day. Such a measure would go a long way in protecting citizens federal voting rights from fraudulent practices.
Please set to work immediately on enacting emergency legislation to require a valid ID at the polling places on Election Day.

"My greatest fear for this election is voter fraud. The rats have it down to a science as we observed in 2000. Not only did they try and steal the election, they changed history to the point that in the minds of many, it was President Bush who did that."
Ditto.
What do Iowa, Wisconsin, New Mexico and Oregon have in common?
All 4 states were stolen by the 'Rats in 2000 - Florida was a much bigger project, however, and they ran out of time. But destroying 30,000-50,000 Bush ballots in Palm Beach County alone and inhibiting the Panhandle GOP vote via the 'erroneous premature call' of Florida for Gore sure brought them close. If its close they will cheat.
I have a firm belief that at least several MILLION inner-city votes this coming November, nation-wide, will be cast by dead, ineligible, ballot-stuffing, or multiple-voting persons. And the media will not even try to investigate. Needless to say, any would-be 'poll-watchers' in these high-crime areas controlled by a one-party system better watch their backs.
The computer-voting brings up nightmares like that seen recently in Venezuela, where the 'official result' turned out to be the exact polar-opposite of ALL the exit polls.
Picture IDs ought to be mandatory for voting, as should the purging of all ineligible voters before EVERY SINGLE election.
Brilliant. This is needed in every state.
