From Hugh Hewitt's weblog:
Wow. Another Kerry whopper, this from U.S. News & World Reports of May 8, 2000. Here's the entire article.
Is a trial deal near? by Kevin Whitelaw
Sen. John Kerry made his first forays into Cambodia during the Vietnam War as a Navy lieutenant on clandestine missions to deliver weapons to anticommunist forces.

Spoke on phone with I believe. And yes, took advice. Let that sink in. A US elected official received and accepted advice on US foreign policies from a Hollywood actor.
And there ya' go.....

Check out Oztrich Boy's Reply No. 35 for interesting info to add to the arsenal of facts re: Kerry and Cambodia! Good stuff! If we had a free press in this country, Kerry would be toast...make that, french toast!

If memory serves, Kerry's campaign admitted the Christmas in Cambodia story "may have been a misremembrance." So, if Kerry wasn't in Cambodia (illegally, under orders from President Nixon), then he has no memory
seared -- seared into his brain.
If he has no memory of this event, what is his justification for turning on his crewmates and joining the VVAW? Or am I "misremembering" his statement that Christmas in Cambodia, where he was fired upon by his South Vietnamese allies, was the turning point that caused him to reassess his devotion to duty?

Kerry is not only not fit to be president, he's never been fit for any elective office. But, as the libertarian Drew Carey sez, Massachusetts has never failed to elect a Kennedy no matter how many women they kill or rape, so electing a Kerry is practically a given.

LOL! I like that, too funny.

If the polls show Kerry at 40%, say three weeks from now, if it becomes clear that he cannot possibly win, I expect the DNC to pull his plug
This has been my feeling from the beginning, engineered by the two Klintoons and Terry McAwful. It will be a "health" issue (cancer or whatever) so the MSM doen't go after the "why" part of it (not that they would anyway). My guess is it will be a Hitlery/Edwards ticket. Edwards isn't dumb enough to let Hitlery be the V.P. because in that scenario he knows he'll die in office (mysterious car crash, plane crash, or suicide), so it will be Hitlery for President and Edwards for V.P.

"The list is growing faster than Pinocchio's nose."
On another thread, there was a mention, with no info given, about another Kerry tall-tale concerning a 'memory as a 12 year old boy, riding his 1 speed bicycle to Check-Point Charley in Berlin'.
Anyone else know what this is about, or where it came from??
Sorry, I don't have a link to the thread, I just read it in passing & didn't bookmark it.

Kerry, a junior grade officer, did all this in 4 months without the knowledge of his commanding officer? This is getting really funny.
Actually, it gets worse! Presumably he did all this in January of '69, meaning he would only have been in-country a matter of weeks before receiving this sensitive assignment. He was still basically in training during the period in which he claims to have made incursions into Cambodia!
