The really important tidbit here is that all interviews must be approved by the Kerry campaign!

"Alston spoke only briefly with National Review Online, saying all interviews must be approved by the Kerry campaign."

Bump. . .

Sorry Mr. Kerry, but your "Band-aid brothers" cannot cover a multitude of lies.

Sorry Mr. Kerry, but your "Band-aid brothers" cannot cover a multitude of lies.

He is now counting on his "Band of Censors" (the mainstream media) to cover his butt.

David Alston can resolve this quickly by releasing his medical records.

It gets deeper and deeper...... According to Short, who supports the Kerry candidacy and appeared alongside Alston with Kerry at last month's convention, Alston was gone during the month of February and did not return to the boat until March. Short remembers going on his first patrol on PCF-94 on February 18, 1969 So Kerry took over the 94 boat on Jan 29th but never even went on a patrol till 18 Feb. He left the 94 on 17 Mar. Just how long was he on the rivers?

Will Kerry's handlers keep others' records secret?

Are Kerry's handlers muzzling their handpicked vets?

Do they have dirt on them to keep them in line?

Order (or go out and buy) Unfit for Command. It's an easy and informative read (well documented) of about 200 pages.

Kerry was elected to the Senate and nominated for the presidency because of what he did to President Nixon with whichever symbols of valor he threw over the fence. Anyone who would support Kerry would like him even better if in fact he had not actually earned the medals.

People who care whether Kerry earned his medals or not shouldn't vote for him even if he did win them.

Thanks for the bump to this. So Alston was only with Kerry for about a week. Funny, though, that Kerry has portrayed himself as being present at Alston's wounding. No, it's not funny. It's typical of Kerry.

Actually, I think Kerry is heavily relying his Band of Lawyers and Band of Aids to squash this.

The important tid bit is "We were extremely exposed — always shot at first....". This confirms O'neils claims that they avoided fire and contradicts Kerry's claim that they shot at unarmed civillians in free fire zones.

Kerry wants to have his cake and eat it too.

He wants the "thow my medals over the fence" and "Vietnam vets are rapists and baby killers" voters

AND

he wants the "John Kerry the Vietnam hero (so must be a great leader) earned 3 Purple Hearts, a Silver and Bronze Star" voters.

Well, he'll have to be fast because Kerry and his media friends are shoveling fast to bury the truth.

Kerry was in "action" only a few weeks, but in that time he burned a village, got 3 PH's, Bronze Star, etc. etc, made a movie of himself, etc. etc...all the stuff he needed to do to get out of the Navy early to run for Congress.

Seems to me the important part is that Kerry "embellished"/"conflated"/"misremembered"/"lied" when speaking to the New Republic when he suggested he was present during the engagement where Alston was wounded. Too many verbs from which to choose.
