The really important tidbit here is that all interviews must be approved by the Kerry campaign!

Sorry Mr. Kerry, but your "Band-aid brothers" cannot cover a multitude of lies.

David Alston can resolve this quickly by releasing his medical records.

It gets deeper and deeper...... According to Short, who supports the Kerry candidacy and appeared alongside Alston with Kerry at last month's convention, Alston was gone during the month of February and did not return to the boat until March. Short remembers going on his first patrol on PCF-94 on February 18, 1969 So Kerry took over the 94 boat on Jan 29th but never even went on a patrol till 18 Feb. He left the 94 on 17 Mar. Just how long was he on the rivers?

Kerry was elected to the Senate and nominated for the presidency because of what he did to President Nixon with whichever symbols of valor he threw over the fence. Anyone who would support Kerry would like him even better if in fact he had not actually earned the medals.

People who care whether Kerry earned his medals or not shouldn't vote for him even if he did win them.

Thanks for the bump to this. So Alston was only with Kerry for about a week. Funny, though, that Kerry has portrayed himself as being present at Alston's wounding. No, it's not funny. It's typical of Kerry.

THERE MUST BE SOME FREEPERS who are friends of or relatives of or friends of friends or friends of relatives of these idiots supporting SKERRY.

It seems to me we could do some research/detective work about why the turkeys are so gah gah over SKERRY.

Is it because they are really mindless idiots?

Or is it more likely that they are rather unsophisticated characters rather gah gah over wealth, privilege and empty promises (for positions???) of a potential President?

WHY are these idiots so supportive of SKERRY when most everyone with a brain level above a slug can tell the guy is as hollow and phoney as a $3 bill.

I think this mystery is a significant one that begs for a solution, explanation.

--a real, solid explanation.

In those ads we always see, Kerry is running around the country side with neither crew or boat in sight. I thought the Captain was always suppose to stay with his ship and look after his crew.

You know, I can understand people having a hazy memory of what happened over 30 years ago. But if Kerry weren't making his Vietnam service his key qualification for being President, this wouldn't matter -- and it shouldn't matter. Who cares what Kerry was doing 30 years ago? I want to know what he was doing more recently. About that? A lot of silence.

Alston seems to be indicating that he was there on Feb28 in this ABC account:

---Feb. 28, 1969, was a day that started out badly and got much worse. Kerry and his crewmates were given a mission to take their Swift boat up a canal off the Bay Hap River, surrounded by thick mangrove brush and many, many Vietcong. There were two ambushes.

"I guess we had gotten 800 yards or 1,000 yards at the most," recalled crewmate Fred Short. "And this time, another B-40 rocket hit, and maybe a couple more. But this one was close aboard. It blew the windows out of the crew cabin. I see out of a spider hole a Vietcong stand up dressed in a loin cloth, holding a B-40 rocket."

"Charlie would have lit us up like a Roman candle because we're full of fuel, we're full of ammunition," said Sandusky.

Protocol at the time would be for Kerry's Swift boat to fire to shore and then take evasive action. But Kerry ordered Sandusky, his second-in-command, to drive the boat onto the beach — directly into the ambush.

"I knew right away that, you know, uh-oh, we're in the doo-doo now," Sandusky said. "But, yeah, I knew — you know, John was intent. You know: 'We got to go and get this guy.' There was no way we were going to back down off the beach." Alston recalled: "I know when John Kerry told Del to beach that damn boat, this was a brand-new ball game. We wasn't running. We took it to Charlie."---

What's the deal, Alston?
