Oh please. There were witnesses who saw her drive it in painted and flatten the tires herself from what I have read. This lady is desperate to get out of the mess she created.

Dunn's lawyer is going to do his best to crucify the two kids who were honest and brave enough to come forward with their testimony.

You may be on to something. A one-armed man would HATE stick-shifts. Must have been a stick. :-)

"This lady is desperate..."No joke. This article is the first I've read that mentions the insurance fraud counts. Her company wouldn't have moved against her unless their own investigators determined that she did the damage herself. I think she's cooked -- with or without the mysterious "man with the tool box."

Dunn, 39, who was a visiting professor, faces two felony insurance fraud charges and a misdemeanor charge of filing a false police report. If convicted, she faces up to four years in prison.
Yup, we go from a relatively mild misdemeanor charge that she was facing to the red-meat felony charges. She ought to be charged with the hate-crime charge that she allegely set up herself.

Perhaps, if they convict her of the fraud & false report, they could, use testimony from the first trial to file the new, hate crime, charge? Nah; not gonna happen.

Stick a fork in her; she's Dunn.

She ought to be charged with the hate-crime charge that she allegely set up herself. Yes, because creating the impression of a hate crime, where none exists, is calculated to poison the atmosphere, and create intolerance all around, to be exploited for personal and group political gain. This is despicable.
There are dozens of these fake hate crimes documented over the years, that I personally know about. I wonder what the total really is, and whether the ratio of real/fake hate crimes is >1?

"Crouching Man, Hidden Toolbox."LOL! Her lawyer could make serious money writing children's books.
To: CounterCounterCulture
Dragging her insurance company into this was probably the dumbest of all the dumb things she did. They usually just pay off the claim on damage like this, but she went high profile so they investigated and then decided to make an example of her.
It's going to be interesting to see if she expresses remorse (confesses) before sentencing. If she doesn't, she'll serve a little more time but be a heroine on the liberal campuses, meaning future employment. That's a plus for somebody who just got disbarred.

While we're on the subject, anything new on our little friend Lori, of Capobianco fame?
To: vikingchick
Thazza durn fine question, vc. I haven't heard anything since she said she was packing up her bags and getting out of Dodge. I wonder what scam she's running in the next town over.
