Okay, please don't flame me. I'm honestly interested in what freepers think about this.
Ever since Rush came back from rehab and started talking about "living a lie" and "not being able to make other people happy" and all that, I've had the uneasy feeling that Rush had "discovered" something more about himself than he was letting on.
Today, listening to Rush as he talked about his empathy for McGreevy, it seemed inevitable to wonder if Rush's empathy (and, please, if you did not hear Rush's comments, realize it's difficult to assess the tone and emotion with which he delivered them) wasn't tied back to his own "living a lie" struggles.
Yes, it would be easy to think that the "lie" was his drug addiction, but . . . I'm posting this because it really seemed as though Rush might be warming up to his own bombshell (whatever that might be).
His commentary was so passionate, in a personal, not political way, that I even wondered if he was (unconsciously) seeing if he could start a thread like this, in order to see what the speculation might be and what the reaction to that speculation might be.
Who heard Rush's opening commentary on McGreevy and what was your reaction/thoughts? Thanks. I'd be interested to know.
>>>>Dittos. I heard the monologue and you are 100% correct<<<<
Hello, right about what? The are all over the place. From he's gay to drugs to rehab. to he's leading us on. I'm of the latter.
What are you referring to?
Apparently. I do feel sorry for his kids, though. For his wife to be part and parcel of this is one thing, she's an adult. But those kids didn't ask for this. Pity their parents didn't think of them.
His personal life is his own business only as long as it doesn't take my husband's hard earned money to keep his 'friend' in style.
There is nothing at all to empathize with. He betrayed everyone who voted for him and those of us who knew all along he was corrupt.
Believe it or not, the person I've heard be hardest on McG. was a guy I heard on NPR this morning. I wish I had caught his name, but I think he was WNYC's NJ correspondent. His attitude was: Gayness has nothing to do with it, McGreevy hasn't told the truth yet, certainly not the whole truth, and has no intention of doing so, he's trying to spin things to his advantage, his putting Cipal on the state p/r was a disgrace, many of his appointments have been disgraces, his whole administration is a corruption riddled disaster.
Guy was seriously p.o.'d. He sounded angrier than any Repub., Conservative, Columnist, Editorial, or Freeper I've heard.
Maybe I'll look later and see if there's an audio link on their site. wnyc.org if anyone wants to look for themselves. It was today's Brian Lehrer show, but there was a lady subbing as host.
It sounds like you're one of the lucky ones: You're able to be a functional Football-Fan-American. ;)
How embarrassing for you --- AND for this forum. You don't speak for me in any way shape or form.
Boy, guess I hit the nail on the head. If you don't find Rush entertaining, don't listen to him. All I am saying about you and the other Rush bashers is that you are only too thrilled to jump on him any chance you get. If you can't deal with the truth so be it.
Where did I claim to speak for anyone than myself?
Discernment isn't one of your strengths, is it?
That's IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rush has been living a lie. HE IS AN ILLEGAL ALIEN! We just THINK he is from Cape Girardeau! He lost his accent and has been faking his American patriotism all while he is not even legal to vote here!! What a SHOCKER!!!
Can you believe that he has probably been receiving FREE health care all these years?! He probably got a free cochlear implant! He is probably the one pressuring the President to go EASY on illegals!
IT ALLLLLLLLLL MAKES SENSE NOW...............
LOL!
There are definitely a number of Rush haters here. I think they hate him because he occasionally has criticized the president.
And, he's a conservative...and that doesn't go over well with certain people here.
Rush on saying he feels sorry for Clinton: "I'm sure I have just set a freeper thread record."
I heard that. I am tired of this story.
