I am a swing voter, neither Republican nor Democrat. I supported President Bush in his response to September 11 and I supported the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. But I like John Kerry's message about the need to do something about the people in this country who have no health insurance. It's a hard choice.
Perhaps he'd have better luck explaining NY State's triple hidden taxes on gasoline, it's storage, and transport thereof within NY State?
LOL!
We could make this our new RKBA home.
Problem is, the troll still lives.
Hard choice? Kerry wants to take money out of your pocket and give to people with no insurance (mind you, I don't see him forking over any of his hard married money). You like giving away money?
Cool, so all I need ot do to give you a quick break from having to move boxes is hack up a bezoar?
Cool.
I've carefully crafted the image of myself as a rampaging madman.
I haven't been entirely successful at it though.
Pet trolls are fun.
Locked in thread, with us.
LOL!
the zombies are following him around.
Yeah, Clinton was going to do something about health care also.
LOL!
No more broom straws for them to count..
The zombie like swings. Anyone that tells me they are undecided is a liar and a Kerry supporter.
OOoo, not familiar with that..It sure must suck living in NY...There's only one place better than livin gin VA, that's FL.
I did stuff like this quite a bit... there was a Pirate Crew poster ( "Don't be effette-- Join the Elite!" ), one of ( ironically enough, this was 25 years ago ) a backhoe operator with something along the lines of "Gals really dig a man who's good with the controls..." and a Widower's Flowchart, with lots of TV dinners and Dirty Pierre's House Of Easy Women...
But still, Lepidopteran, you are seeing something of a caricature of me, and I'll readily admit my once-zany sense of humor has been muted by the passage of time and the loss of many I held dear. I am not nearly as funny nowadays.
How about telling them to get another job ? It is a sad fact of life, but some people in this country, due to either their education or skill or talent level, will have to work more than one job in order to afford insurance. People have the opportunity to better themselves in this country, and if they refuse to do it, why should the government do it for them ?
I'm a Western Swing voter. I'll vote for Bob Wills for King.
Howdy, Darksheare- take a look at the cartoon I drew nigh on to 25 years ago at # 313... that's me to a Tee!
NY State likes to tax business until it flees the state.
While NY State gas prices are still 'low', it's artificially low due to the fact that gas is dropped off at that nice terminal for such substances in the city.
If the state had to have it hauled in by truck or rail, it'd be astronomically high in price.
NY State is also the home of the hidden tax, where if it says it's tax free, it usually isn't.
You're paying a tax on it somewhere in the price.
Schumer said something about the gas prices being too much, and my instant response before tuning him out again was "Drop all the taxes on it."
NY State got P.O'd with people going to neighboring states to buy cigarettes.
So what does the state do?
They raise taxes on cigarettes to 'recoup' the revenue lost to people going out of state for smokes.
(Made sense to them to raise taxes.)
Heck, businesses get forced out of this state the same way.
It's insane, makes no sense at all, and could be improved greatly if common sense would break out.
But, I doubt it'll happen.
And Hillary has said she's going to bring more moneyinto the state..
*projectile barfing in corner*
PS have you noticed that Kerry has no specific plan for ANYTHING ? All he does is speak in platitudes. Bush has goals for our country and the guts to carry them out, unlike war criminal Kerry.
This is a great thread!
