In an interview this morning on Fox and Friends, Kerry spokeman Jeh Johnson backed off of Democrat presidential nominee Senator John Kerry's repeated statements that he had spent Christmas 1968 on a secret mission in Cambodia.
Fox's Brian Kilmead asked Mr. Johnson whether Sen. Kerry would release the action report from January 20, 1969 regarding purported action in Cambodia.
Mr. Johnson said, "I believe you're referring to an incident that happened near Cambodia. Okay, well John Kerry has said on the record that he had a mistaken recollection earlier. He talked about a combat situation on Christmas Eve, 1968, which at one point he said occurred in Cambodia. He has since corrected the record to say it was someplace on a river near Cambodia and he is certain that at some point subsequent to that he was in Cambodia. My recollection, my understanding is he was not certain about that date.
Mr. Kilmead brought up Sen. Kerry's 1986 floor speech in the Senate where he talked about spending Christmas in Cambodia as being "seared---seared" in his memory.
Mr. Johnson replied, "I believe he's corrected the record to say it was someplace near Cambodia, but he is not certain whether it was actually in Cambodia but he is certain that there was some point subsequent to that that he was in Cambodia."
Mr. Johnson also repeated Sen. Kerry's canard that he left Yale in 1966 and turned down all options to further his education by choosing to serve his country. As was (barely) reported in March of this year, Sen. Kerry asked for and was denied a one year deferment to study in Paris.
Was his trip into East Germany seared in his mind as well?
"Sen. Kerry asked for and was denied a one year deferment to study in Paris."
No doubt to study here

where he could learn the fine art of "searing".
LOL!....FLIP /FLOP
That Johnson guy (one of the most unattractive specimens you'll ever encounter) was smarmy. Brian let him get by with most of it, but seemed to feel he should treat the guy with some deference.
Every question was parried with a long statement about how Kerry was (you won't believe this) a Viet Nam veteran and therefore had to be treated with respect.
Apparently no one else who served in Viet Nam--most of them much longer than Kerry--is deserving of respect--just Kerry.
Brian did ask one substantive question about Kerry releasing records
This got the usual answer -- "I believe they've all been released." Followed by the usual Bush remark. "He's released as many records as Bush" - a flat out lie since he's released none and Bush has released all.
Apparently the Kerry campaign is still counting on the thus-far successful theme that they will be protected by the press.
ROTFLMAO
I remember you!
I was the CIA guy sitting in the booth next to you.
Hey! Where's my hat?
is this like the clintonista who "lied" to his diary?
The man is a nut.
J.F. Kerry, wants to send them love and hippie flowers while they kill Americans. What a foolish man he is.
His wife is even a bigger idiot for marrying this dumb a$$.
Exactly where, when and to whom did he "correct" the record?
SCORE ANOTHER FOR THE SWIFTIES!!!
As Dukakis would say "it was an oversight." Yeah, Kerry, one that defamed the government and your "band of brothers."
Now every single one of his "recollections" is suspect.
Releasing the official records could help jog your memory, Kerry!!
RELEASE YOUR RECORDS, SENATOR KERRY!!! Do the right thing....RELEASE!!
That's the word I have been wracking my brain to describe sKerry! Yes, oily ... creepy, too.
Thanks!

"...he is certain that at some point subsequent to that he was in Cambodia."
Must've been that Khmer Rouge Tupperware party he attended some time after his discharge.
Mistakes are piling up... I said I won't raise taxes... No I meant I won't raise some taxes... No I meant taxes shouldn't be raised. No I meant I will raise taxes but not by that much. No I think I clearly said I would raise taxes but that it won't have much of an impact. No I distinctly said we must raise taxes to reduce the defecit. Well what the hell we raised taxes anyway who cares everyone in congress deserves a pay raise anyway.
When did he "correct the record" (as you claim he did), and does that mean he lied, or does he have an extremely faulty memory or wild imagination (either of which should disqualify him as a serious contender for the White House)?
And, Mr. Johnson, since Kerry has admitted to committing war crimes, and is an ardent supporter of unfettered partial-birth abortion, why would it not be fair or accurate to label him a 'baby killer,' as he and his ilk tried to paint innocent Vietnam vets 30+ years ago?
