How can people eat such bs? If you have been to Cambodia your not going to forget it, and and saying your "near Cambodia" for crying out loud nay where you go in SE Asia your "near Cambodia" the Indochinese subcontinent isn't that big. I'm only about 70 miles from Myanmar right now and about 150 miles from Cambodia to say I am in either one of those places is ridiculous. I have been to both places a couple times, and I'm not going to get it confused and say that I'm living there now just because I'm a few miles away, if i said I was there now I would be lying. How can he speak such an obvious lie? I really think he believes his own trash

The issue I have is that 'Seared' is equivalent to a Categorical statement. Where is Dee Dee?

It's not only where he said he was, but when he said he was there. An event that is of itself memorable will be more readily remembered in detail. Being in Cambodia in 1968 would have been such an event. A memorable event that takes place on a date that has other independent significance will be even more memorable. Being in Cambodia on Christmas will be even more memorable than being there on a date that has no other significant meaning.
I can't tell you what I did each day in 2001, but I can tell you that on September 11, I was sitting in front of my computer at work when a co-worker (of Arab descent, ironically) asked me if I still had my mini TV in my office because a plane had flown into one of the twin towers. He was also the one who told me that the second tower and the Pentagon had been hit. Later that day, I had a Master Commissioer's hearing, and before going over I called and asked if the hearing would still be taking place, given all that had happened. The hearing was still on, and I remember there was already a special edition of the local paper in print and on sale. When I went home that night, the gas lines at the convenience store near my house were backed up because people were afraid there was going to be a spiek in gas prices. I got home that night and my mom and dad, and my best friend were at my house. My wife had previously invited them over for a surprise birthday dinner (my birthday is on 9/12). We all ate and then watched the coverage for the rest of the night. Of course, the point of this story is that because of the significance of that date, I can remember more detail of what I did on 9/11/01 than on any other date that year.
