In a continuing effort to make political hay over 9/11, John Kerry has begun criticizing the President for his actions immediately after he was informed of the second plane hitting the World Trade Center.
President Bush acted stoically in the face of such news - it would have done far more harm than good for him to begin running around in a panic after hearing the news.
But now John Kerry is criticizing that stoicism, attacking the President for remaining in the school with the children for 7 minutes.
But, perhaps that is one of the greatest hypocrisies of the campaign - because on July 8 on the Larry King Show, John Kerry said the following:
I was in the Capitol. We'd just had a meeting -- we'd just come into a leadership meeting in Tom Daschle's office, looking out at the Capitol. And as I came in, Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid were standing there, and we watched the second plane come in to the building. And we shortly thereafter sat down at the table and then we just realized nobody could think, and then boom, right behind us, we saw the cloud of explosion at the Pentagon. And then word came from the White House, they were evacuating, and we were to evacuate, and so we immediately began the evacuation.
To clarify for everyone, the second plane hit the World Trade Center at 9:03 AM. The plane struck the Pentagon at 9:43 AM. That means that for a full 40 minutes John Kerry and the rest of the Democrat Senate Leadership were unable to "think." 40 full minutes passed before John Kerry even realized what was happening, and he has the audacity to attack the President for maintaining control for 7 minutes in order to prevent an unneeded panic.
He will say anything to get elected.
GEEE WHIZZZ....Lets make him President....NOT!
Love the cartoon! LOL
(The "More Sensitive" War On Terror)
Based on Kerry's well-documented past, it is a good thing when he thinks for a long long time before acting - or especially speaking!
we had just come in for a leadership meeing.
dang, i thought the micky mouse club broke up years ago.
this might be a secret cabal left over from the beach blanket bingo days. how did they preserve thier mousekateer hats over all these years?
