My company uses McAfee, but I use Norton on my personal system.

I prefer Norton.

NEITHER! Un-install BOTH machines and go visit Grisoft and download AVG Antivirus.

FREE for home users!

I've found Norton to be much better.

I have McAfee but would suggest you use Norton.

I plan on switching to Norton but I will not switch to Norton until I buy a new PC.

These types of programs tend to "embed" themselves in your operating system (or so I've been told).

I'm using McAffee and have had not problems since I started three months ago. Believe it or not, I never used a protection system before that and had only minimal (almost no) problems over the years.

I'm a fan of McAfee for my home PC.
Twice using Norton I got viruses which resulted in having to format the whole drive.
No problems with McAfee.

We do use Norton in work though.

Don't listen too the other two. McAfee is by far a better product. I do not understand why anyone would use Norton, it causes more problems than it fixes. Get more feedback from actual comptuer IT guys, not people who do not know what they are talking about.

E-Trust!

I like the 29.95 one - continuous updates all day long.

Definitely Norton or AVG/Grisoft. Everyone I know with McAfee have been infected numerous times.

I support 400 workstations at work (a member of a staff of five) and we use McAfee. I use Norton Internet Security (which includes, parental filters, anti-spam, anti-virus, and so forth) at home on two XP boxes. It's kind of a wash, I think.

In any case, be sure to subscribe to virus profile updates! ANY anti-virus software without FREQUENT profile updates is no protection at all.
