If the election as held today, who would you vote for today?
Bush, Kerry or Nader?
Individiual Votes and electoral votes by state.
BUSH - 55% versus sKERRY 44% and NADER 1%
BUSH - 352 electoral votes versus sKERRY 186.
As 352 is greater than 270 - can you spell landslide?

I would not rely on online polls, which this seems to be. I wouldn't rely on it either, but I wouldn't treat it like other online polls. It has a larger sample size and much better security than any other online poll I've seen. But seriously, if you want an accurate straw poll, wait for the movie theater straw poll (I think it's Lowe's) which always gets the winner right.

Biased sample - people who can log on to AOL have to have a bit of intelligence, knowledge, and initiative - this shuts out most of those who will be voting for Kerry.......

Allow me to beg to differ. Kerry is going negative because he has nothing else. If he was the one with the 300+ projected landslide, he'd still be out there calling the President names, because his Senate record is an embarassment. All he can do at this point is try to convince the swing voters that Bush sucks a whole lot, because he has nothing else to offer them.

There are more Nader votes in this poll in NC than in Maine. Dubya's going to win, but it's serious grain of salt time in relation to any other details from this poll.

There are lots of conservative AOL users. Some of the most conservative people I know are on AOL, in fact.

Worthless for most purposes, but I think it is indicating the real result: A Bush win. Will he win by that many electoral votes? Highly unlikely.

Were those earlier AOL polls as tightly controlled as this one? Maybe they were being DUmbed down.

Yeah, but remember this excludes some of the largest blocks of democratic constituents.....dead people and felons in jail.

The poll I saw Sunday had Bush up 7 or 8 percent with over 400000 votes. He was up 9% (over 1500 votes) in Ohio, Ohio AOL'ers voted over 16000 times.
The national margin was lower, but Kerry only had 9 or 10 states.

Let's not forget folks - these are only those who are savvy enough to have access to a computer. Many of those who will vote for Kerry wouldn't know a computer if it bit them.
