Hugh Hewitt just finished playing an entire story from Fox News wherein Carl Cameron confronted the Kerry campaign regarding his Cambodia claims.

Intially, they denied that Kerry had ever said he was in Cambodia. So Carl presented them with the Senate Record and the Boston Globe article where he most unambiguously did so. They said they would have to get back to him on this one, but sticks to their story that he was near Cambodia, but not actually in Cambodia.

It took Kerry a while to formulate a strategy for the Polier mess, too. Though somehow I don't see the Swift vets being as helpful as the good Miss Polier and her family.

Per Carl Cameron on Brit Hume's show, the Kerry campaign still has no explanation on Tuesday, say he was "near" but not "in" Cambodia. Is there a new thread on this today?

This piece is so irritating. The fact he was glossed over in the story doesn't strike me as some sort of oversight. This has been discussed at least here ad nauseum.

Fox News knows about him. Yet somehow their big story still DELIBERATLY omits his existence. What gives?

Sean Hannity had our FReeper and O*Neill on today and I saw a few posts about that this afternoon.

The old Klintoon technique of "deny - deny - deny" hit a brick wall when Kerry*s staff was confronted with lib newspaper articles that gave Kerry*s exact "in Cambodia" fantasy tale.

There is even the old "I wuz delivering arms for the CIA to Cambodia and all I got wuz this crummy camo hat" line.

They have gone beyond "deny - deny" and skipped right past "stall - stall - stall" to "ignore - ignore - ignore".

It now "old (unreported) news".....


This will get stupid enough that even Katie Couric and Russ and Matthews will be forced to confront Kerry for a detailed explanation:

"Are you a only a really bad congenital sociopathic liar or are you just guilty of violating military regulations and the Geneva Conventions or are you merely road-testing a fiction spy book plot concept out?"

Here's what Kerry will do to get out of this. He'll say that he didn't actually state that Nixon was the president when he was in Cambodia, but that he had actually said, "...in which President Nixon [later] claimed there were no American troops..." and then claim that some SOB at the Boston Herald took his quote down and failed to include that word "later."

I mean, he blamed his speechwriters for things that he said, right? How long will it take for him to blame the Boston Herald writer or editor? I hope for two things:
1. For him to come up with something like this and
2. For the Boston Herald to have a tape recording of his statement in which no "later" appears.
