When viewed in this context, you see that the charges that John O’Neil and his Swift Boaters are laying at the voter’s feet are really not so outrageous at all.

Wow!

Time to take the turkey (J F'in Kerry) out of the oven, he's done.

Another nice thing, is that the SS Kerryantic sinks and takes SS Edwards down with it! Two lawyers sent back to whatever hell they tried to escape from.

Nice commentary - except for the last sentence...

Well, the people will know whom to believe. They always do.

Bill Clinton alone proved that statement isn't true!

"John Kerry, you asked for this."

Kerry's well known "political glass jaw" is coming out for all to see right now.

If he can't take a stinging commercial, how on earth is he going to deal with North Korea? Iran? China?

Al Qaeda?

Kerry's whole campaign is one of avoidance. He is desperately avoiding any discussion of his own record of votes, his own words in front of congress in 1971 - 73, his being the left hand man of Michael Dukakis.

Now, he's showing the world he can't take a verbal punch, counter punch actually.

Oh well, Democrats nominated a fraud....its not the first time they have done so.

See Jimmy Carter.....

Fine piece. Thank you for posting this. As often happens in politics, the attempt to cover up the scandal is proving to be larger and more harmful than the scandal itself.

Had Kerry had said right from the get-go, "I got these awards, but I am certain that others suffered more for their awards. And I'm certain that many others could have received similar or greater awards." Had Kerry said that, this entire issue would have been nonexistent.

But once Kerry decided on a Vietnam-centric campaign, he had to market his awards, not downplay them. So the cover-up and counterattack became mandatory. And the game was afoot.

I disagree! #1. some of the medals received were for non-existent and self inflicted wounds. #2 Real hero's don't talk - they don't have to, others do for them. So Kerry could not be quiet, if he didn't brag about himself - who else would!!!!!

To me the issue is not the medals. The issue is what he did in the courts and the rallys against his fellow men. That is what I judge this man by.

the people will know whom to believe. They always do.

Well, there was a big exception to that in 1992, mortifyingly repeated in 1996.
