Kerry was in too much of a hurry to get to his next gig......

Democratic Presidential nominee Senator John Kerry (L) plays a guitar with a band after a campaign event in Jefferson City, Missouri, August 5, 2004. Kerry and his running mate John Edwards were on the first day of a campaign train trip taking them to several key Midwestern and western states with less than 100 days until the presidential election. Imus' affections are easily swayed.

You're not kidding! All the same, I'm glad to see the "I-man" finally realized what a phony Kerry is - for however long his disillusionment lasts.

After seeing Kerry in that there 'cowboy hat' I have to say that Trent Lott's turkey-feather bedecked cowboy hat doesn't look as dorky anymore.

Liked that song a lot.

The Last Farewell

There's a ship lies rigged and ready in the harbour

Tomorrow for old England she sails

Far away from your land of endless sunshine

To my land full of rainy skies and gales

And I shall be on board that ship tomorrow

Though my heart is full of tears at this farewell

For you are beautiful und I have loved you dearly

More dearly than the spoken word can tell

For you are beautiful und I have loved you dearly

More dearly than the spoken word can tell.

I heard there's a wicked war ablazing

And the taste of war I know so very well

Even now I see the foreign flag araising

Their guns on fire as we sailed into hell

I have no fear of death it brings no sorrow

But how bitter will be this last farewell

For you are beautiful and I have loved you dearly .

Though death and darkness gather all about me

And my ship be torn apart upon the sea

I shall smell again the fragrance of these islands

In the heaving waves that brought me once to thee

And should I return safe home again to England

I shall watch the English mist roll through the dell

For you are beautiful and I have loved you dearly .

Why wouldn't they snub sick kids? They can't vote.

Back during the 1992 Campaign, the Clinton/Gore team took a Bus Tour across America. I recall during the tour, Tom Brokaw had an interview with Bill and Hillary on the bus while they were traveling through a small town.

I couldn't help but notice that during the interview you could hear Bill's voice over a PA system thanking the crowds for showing up and saying "HEY!" sporadically as if he were talking directly to various people along the route. Over his shoulder you could see crowds lined up along the street waving to the bus as it passed by unaware that the Bill Clinton they were hearing was on tape as the real Bill and Hillary spoke with Brokaw.

Another day, another Democrat I suppose...

I hope your nephew has a really good time at the ranch and that he tells you (and us) all about his stay. I understand the kids don't want to leave when their two-week stay is over. Imus has started a wonderful thing.

Thanks for the ping, Howlin.
