Anti-Kerry Swift boat vet Lt. Commander George Elliot retracts and regrets anti Kerry statements. He is the one that said Kerry did not deserve the Silver Star medal and was featured in the commercial. Heard it just now on the radio - nothing in print yet.
I was thinking planted as well.
Elliot is the guy who put Kerry in for his Silver Star, chided him for beaching his boat, AND worked on Kerry's Senate Campaign...

The threats are coming fast and furious.
Clinton paved the way - scare your critics to
death.
Shoot, now the story will be that all these guys were somehow coerced to lie to make that ad. The average non-political American will not know whom to believe.
Well, if Kerry's hired goons are threatening to sue radio & TV stations to not run the ad, then just think what they're doing to the men in the ad.
Especially in light of defending Kerry previously! This is total Bravo Sierra, and reveals more of the left's desperation!
Has '60 Minutes' scheduled his national interview yet?
Notice that he's not challenging the accounts of witnesses so much as regretting that he signed an affadavit about whether or not Kerry merited the award over it.
Communist Mafia got to him...Maybe he was invited to a park to 'chat'?
Rush is discussing this now.
That's if Clinton's team is on the job.
that was john edwards wife
This was a setup, plain and simple - Elliot was his direct supervisor in 'Nam, nominated him for the Silver Star he received, and also worked on Kerry's 1996 Senate Campaign.
Yeah, this was a setup.
Someone must have poured some ketchup on him.
No source?
Well, we all know how this will be playing out, don't we?
No Travis, I think he was either a plant or paid off.
We are crazy to dwell on this... the ads are still running, and the commander has not retracted other aspects of this entire saga.
We should ignore the retraction and press forward.
It was not a set-up, these people just don't understand that everything has to be bullet-proof. They are naive and stupid in this regard, but totally well-intentioned.
