Kerry's Toast (Joseph Farah Recants Earlier John "Medals Tossin'" Kerry Win Prediction)

Kerry's Toast

Joseph Farah

I was wrong.

When I'm wrong, I admit it. And I was wrong.

I was wrong when I predicted months ago that John F. Kerry would likely be our next president.

I based my prediction on the fact that George W. Bush was a disappointing president and showed no signs of having a re-election plan in mind.

That assessment hasn't changed at all. Bush hasn't done a thing to shore up his base or to energize the American people about his re-election.

But something dramatic has occurred since my prognostication.

Kerry's despicable war record – and, worse yet, his post-war record – is becoming known to the American people thanks to some heroic Vietnam vets who made it their mission to get the truth about this phony, this fraud, this fake "hero."

If the voting public sees one 60-second TV commercial produced by the Swift Boat Vets for Truth, I feel confident even loyal Democrats will abandon John Fonda Kerry.

I thought I knew Kerry – having followed his career for the last 33 years. Even I did not understand the depths of depravity and deceit to which this man has plunged in his life.

It's amazing.

I think Kerry is going to rue the day he ever decided to run for president. Not only is he going to lose in a landslide to an undistinguished incumbent, he's going to be humiliated. Teresa hitched her billion-dollar wagon to the wrong star. I hope for her sake that pre-nup is solid.

This guy's going nowhere fast. He may have trouble getting re-elected to the Senate in Massachusetts when these vets get finished with him. He may not carry his home state in 2004.

There's something very compelling about the idea of dozens of solid men to go out on a limb, as these vets have done, and tell the honest truth about a guy who could very well be president – someone who could make life very nice for them. But, instead, they just tell the flat-out truth. They let the chips fall where they may. They take the risky, controversial path – one for which they cannot possibly derive any benefit.

They tell a simple, straightforward story: Kerry lied. He lied about everything. He lied about his wounds. He lied about his actions in Vietnam. He lied to get medals. He lied about what he did with his medals. He lied about atrocities. He lied before the Senate. He lied to his own men. He abandoned and betrayed his comrades.

Kerry is Clintonesque in that he seems to lie even when there is no point in lying. It comes naturally to him. He seems to be a congenital liar with no moral compass whatsoever.

On the other hand, what these vets say is all very believable – because these men have no reason to lie. They have every reason to get behind their most famous friend – even if they didn't like him, even if they thought he was no good. He could help them immensely – if they just shut up and let Kerry make up his own history. But they are standing up to be counted because they actually believe in something bigger than themselves – something called the United States of America.

All that's left to do for the rest of us on the sidelines is to make sure the real heroes have enough financial resources to tell their story to as many of the American people as will listen.

To do that, we all owe them our sacrificial contributions to show that 60-second commercial across America – to show it over and over and over again, until no American can avoid being confronted with the truth about John Kerry.

To tell you the truth, this is one time I'm happy I was wrong.

Joseph Farah is now happy to say he's wrong. Medals Tossin' John F*ckin' is toast. Even Democrats will abandon the war hero imposter if they see Swift Boat Veterans 60 second commercial. This is Kerry's proverbial "jump the shark" moment. Its only a matter of time before the wheels come off his bandwagon or he had a Howard Dean type meltdown. Its be beautiful if he couldn't carry his own home state in November. I'm already looking ahead and I'm increasingly confident we're on the right track. Let's roll!!!

Don't be too hard on him. At the time it seemed apparent Kerry was untouchable. His political Kevlar is now disintegrating around him and it couldn't happen to a more deserving figure.

Bush has his timetable - It's really going to get busy convention week, and then we'll see a no holes barred, balls to the wall campaign. We saw the same thing in the Republican Primary, and then the last general election - Bush did things his way, not the pundits way. I kind of like that.

Farah must spend a great deal of time unhappy, then.

At this point I see the "Swiftboat Vet" ads as anything but a positive for the President. The 11 minute RNC commercial on Kerry's Iraq flip-flops, especially if it can be broken into a series of minute long commercials, presents a much more compelling case for why Kerry, here and now, should not be President of the United States.

Farah has had a hard on for Bush since 2000. The problem with Farah, and many others, is they don't understand that anyone who's their "Man" will never get more then 3% of the national vote.

It's not only what "you" believe but what the rest of the country believes even if we agree 99% whith what Farah believes !

The PJB and Nader followers learned this first hand !

I am form Massachusetts, and having watched Kerry for 20 years, I hereby predict that Kerry is going to become more Deanlike--actually, in the spirot of poetic justice which also took over Clinton, Nixonlike, too.

Kerry does not like it when things don't go his way. He has always had a free ride with the press. But these charges are out there--if the press never mentions them again, WE WILL, and so will people who heckle at rallies.

And Kerry will have a Dean moment, possibly at a debate, where Bush's calm in the face of Kerry's sweaty lunacy will show to all Americans which is the best possible choice.

Watch for it. (I know I am not telling you anything you don't already know, and probably have the popcorn ready. :)

He's in trouble because he OPENED the door to his Vietnam record. Its one thing to dismiss President Bush or Republicans charges about his wartime serve as "politically motivated" or coming from "chicken hawks" who never spent a moment under fire but its a whole different ball of wax taking on former crewmates who served with him. Most of them are Democrats and independents and what they have to say about Kerry is not so easily buried. No wonder the Kerry/Edwards campaign has sought to kill the Swift Boat Vets' commercial. If blue collar Democrats in swing states like Pennslyvania and West Virginia see it, the guy's toast. And don't forget the good people of Massachusetts: do they really want to put a horseface version of Michael Dukakis in the White House? I'd love to see Kerry get humiliated like Al Gore was in 2000 by losing his home state. If Kerry's campaign starts crumbling, Bush is gonna win this by a landslide in November.

Kerry's short length of service in Vietnam was probably the result of his uncontolled, undisciplined actions in Vietnam, as described in this thread: Navy had to virtually straightjacket Kerry.

>>Kerry's Toast

He's not just toast, he's FRENCH toast!

If J. F'n Kerry is so awesome and Bush so bad, why are the polls so "close" (and soon they won't even be close;
the more people get to know Kerry, the less they'll
like him)? If the Left feels the way they do, why isn't
Kerry running away with this race?

Dukakis blew a 17 point lead. Kerry doesn't even have a lead that big (if he has a lead at all) and he, too,
will soon see his numbers dwindle.

Yes, the more I learn about Kerry, the more he looks like a pathological liar similar to Klintoon. This man is a vain, egotistical, and ruthless nut case who has no business even running for President.

It's a brilliant, brilliant ad. One of the true, all-time classic campaign ads.

And the timing? "Suspicious" doesn't cover it. It's as perfect as timing gets.

What was the one thing, the one thing everyone agreed Kerry established at the convention? His war record. Bam. Gone. History. Even if he beats this ad, he can't use hsi war record anymore. It's done. That lone leg is chopped off.

And the Dems are locked in, there's no possibility of Hilary coming to the rescue. The Dems are totally invested.

God, a brilliant, brilliant move.

GW is doin' exactly the right thing, not responding to Kerry's barbs: to do so would make him look weak; libs would start saying he's not paying attention to running the country...all he cares about is re-election, yaddayadda.

Deliberative, confident, un-harried GW...good image...and an honest one.

I hope GW keeps doin' what's in his heart and mind to do; not start giving Kerry the gratification of a food fight; not dignifying his sorry-assed taunts and lies.

The "Swift Boat" commercial IS devastating because these are Kerry's crewmates telling Americans who the guy really is. They don't stand to make a lot of money or get positive press for having the guts to come forward and tell us about the former Senator's lack of distinguished exploits in Vietnam. Kerry fears the truth as vampires fear sunlight. He can't deal with the charges against him honestly. That's why he's trying to get his legal hounds to get the vets to shut up. I'll tell you who the real patriots are - hint --- its not the Senator and his party who have lied about matters large and small to the American people.

After watching the Hannity TV show repeat tonight, after reading FR threads about it, for the first time in about 6 months (I'm sick to death of the guy, his imbecilic talking points and his damn books), I've come to the conclusion that this Rassmann guy is in the tank with Kerry - that they've both lied their asses off to get their medals and other Vietnam-era awards. In fact, I think it's possible everyone on Kerry's boat is involved in some kind of cover-up.

Not much else would explain the large number of Swift Vets willing to stand up and say "BS!" to their stories.

If the timeline of events can be established, I'll bet Kerry, Rassmann and the others in this little scheme get flushed, but good.
