If kerry has been slandered and libeled, his co-pilot, Edwards, the shyster lawyer, will most certainly file a suit.

You want to hold your breath? Ha!

I look for the kerry crewmen to begin heading for the high grass.

Anybody want to bet on who is not telling the truth?

When the DNC Attacks!

From the Washington Times:

The Club for Growth says the Democratic National Committee has contacted television stations to urge them not to run the conservative group’s ad that depicts Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry as being like a weather vane on the issues.

The group said its $1 million television ad campaign “informing Americans of John Kerry’s ever-changing record on taxes, welfare reform and the death penalty for terrorists” has drawn the ire of the Democrats.

“The DNC has gone so far as to send a letter to television stations telling them not to air the ad,” the group said yesterday in a prepared statement.

Kerry will certainly head for the high grass. I expect Kerry to send out a surrogate to do his bidding.

There is absolutely no point in emailing the lawyers. They are just employees of the DNC, and have to do whatever the DNC tells them to do. They didn't think up this idea on their own, and can't respond to public opinion even if they wanted to.

Any libel suit on behalf of Kerry must show actual malice, that the broadcaster knew the report was false or had a reckless disregard for the truth. It is an almost impossible burden for a "public figure" plaintiff such as Kerry.

I saw that ad tonight on FOX News in a regular commercial break, it was GREAT!

DNC Lawyers Work To Muzzle Swift Boat Vets' Ad

HUMAN EVENTS has obtained a copy of a letter which lawyers for the Democratic National Committee and John Kerry have sent to television station managers attempting to suppress the blistering anti-Kerry TV spot created by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and first reported here on HumanEventsOnline.com.

The letter claims the ad is "false" and "libelous" and suggests, in not-so-subtle terms, that TV stations should use their "legal authority" to refuse any requests for advertising airtime, stating that "because your station has this freedom [to refuse the ad], and because it is not a 'use' of your facilities by a clearly identified candidate, your station is responsible for the false and libelous charges made by this sponsor"

"I took part in search and destroy missions, in the burning of villages…" - John Kerry 1971

Was he lying then or is he lying now?

A waste of time. These lawyers aren't the final arbitors of either the SKerry-Backwards campaign or the DNC.

They're using trial lawyers to silence the freedoms of the press.
A Kerry win would turn the U.S. into a communist country.

Their fax-memo-letter is more to try to intimidate than threaten legal action. They know they would have to 'prove' the allegations false if they did sue, and that would be difficult, if not impossible.

This is a he-said, they-said. Kerry's undisclosed military/health records could possibly disprove some allegations. Otherwise, it is Kerry and his one remaining supporter from the crew against the dozen or so who say he is unfit and a liar.

But it might increase Kerry's attorneys fees. After all the lawyers have to read the emails. At $500 an hour that ain't chump change.

When he distances himself from the riff-raff or tells everyone not to question his patriotism, he's lying.

Yeh. About time for him to take another week vacation. He seems to take vacations frequently and when things get a bit rough.

Considering your letter to broadcasters concerning "Swiftboat Veterans For Truth". I was wondering if you could explain what about their ads is legally improper. What laws would broadcasters be violating if they aired such ads?

Thank you.
