I read that thread earlier today. The Scott sound byte I heard was later in the day.

I would love to see some direct quotes. All I can find, and I've been searching, is what he said this morning, which is reproduced here among other places:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2004/08/20040805-5.html

I would certainly be concerned if they blasted the ad itself more categorically than they did here.

Welcome to FR, the DNC and John McCain have plans for the first amendment and the plans include abridging it to the point it is meaningless.

And thats the truth.

Not to mention the new groupies, trial lawyers, signed up and ready to make their voices heard. God help us all.

It seems like it already is meaningless. Apparently, Free Speech is only for Libs, not for the rest of us. See the letter from the DNC lawyers. How many stations will (willingly or out of fear) not run the ad?

Glad to be here! MOgirl

This ad is being spread throughout the Internet as we type. They can't stop it from being seen or heard!

Notice they are intimidating TV stations for running the ad. They have not dealt with the zallegations, certainly not refuted them.

Let John Kerry release his full military records AND his medical records.

Regarding what McClellan said and your recollection. He (thus the Admin) were far from condeming it. I saw what he said several times. He commented that the President is opposed to massive influx of money into the 527s and the ads they are running. McClellan then went on to talk about how $62 Million in 527 money has been spent attacking President Bush. There was no direct mention or comment on the SwiftVet ad if memory serves me right.

I'd say these people have a Karl Rove obsession.

The left is in constant need of a boogey man or boogey men to deflect attention away from their short comings and to cast blame upon. Ken Starr and Newt Gingrich served that purpose in the 90's. No matter what the left did, they would just point their finger at one or both of them and all was well. Today Rove fills that roll.

This is just a preview of the election tactics. The RATS will file lawsuits in any close race this year.

Kerry has already hired 6,000 lawyers for election day monitoring and suit filing.

I wonder what they think of this?

.

United States Court District Of California

John F. Kerry
Plaintiff
v.
Conspiracy Guy
Defendant

Attorney for Plaintiff:
John Edwards

____________________________________________________________________ Complaint And Demand For Relief
__________________________________________________________

JURISTICTION AND VENUE
That the court has jurisdiction over the parties and the subject matter of this action. That venue is proper in this court pursuant to C.R.C.P., Rule 10005.6. That all claims for relief set forth in this complaint arise from a common nucleus of operative facts. That this entire action constitutes a single case which should be heard in a single judicial proceeding with a extreme liberal slanted appeals Court available for review .

PARTIES
Conspiracy Guy mostly but maybe that whole Freeper bunch

GENERAL ALLEGATIONS
They just aren't very nice to me. But this poem (attached hereto as Plaintiff's Exhibit "A") was really mean

Wherefore
I want him to stop being mean to me and I want all his money and . . . and . . .any other relief this Court and the 9th Circus deems just and proper. amen

Yes, we agree on our recollection, and sarasota saw this too. However, sarasota claimed to have heard a different statement from McClellan that was more forceful. I haven't found that yet but I sure do hope sarasota just misunderstood something. I know McCain directly condemned the ad and the vets, but I would be disappointed if Bush & Co. did so.
