The Air America station on 1240 AM in the Sacramento, CA area seems to have gone AWOL this morning. I listen to it every morning and evening for comic relief.
Does anyone have any information as to the possible cause? I sort of miss the mindless comedy...
Even more odd, the stations that do carry Rush must pay Rush's syndicator for the rights to carry him. And they don't even get all the commercial spots. Only about 1/2. But the demand for advertising on during Rush's show is so high, stations can charge the highest rate of the day for those spots, and even with only 1/2 the spots, still make good money, after paying the syndication fees. He is that big. Airhead America is one of the very very few that has to pay stations to carry them.
Don't know, but I had guessed before the DNC convention so I guess I'm out.
"I just read this week that Al Franken's Radio Show is going to be televised like Imus in the Morning; on the Sundance Network. For real, the Sundance Network. ROFLOL!!"
I suspect Franken will eventually end up on NPR. Although if he is on the Sundance Network, I would get an opportunity to see and hear him, rather than read transcripts.....LOL!
He's a small bit of noise that signifies less than nothing.
I found an archive site that has most (all) of their broadcasts for the last three months (MP3 files)
What is the addrss for those of us who want a few minutes of comedy?
That Air Ameica is some powerhouse, huh? WSNH is a 910 watt (my microwave oven is more powerful) station in Nashua. I live two towns away and can't pull it in, even with a large antenna.
Just in case you wanted to know...
Well, they did manage to get AA on a 5,000 watt station in Vermont. Probably being financed by Ben and Jerry
and Howard Dean; an ad in a local paper showed the outline of the USA with Al Franken's face inside: LIBERAL TALK RADIO INVADES VERMONT (invades? kind of war-like talk
for liberals, isn't that?)--AM 1070 WTWK
When I visit the Champlain Valley next week I may tune in for a second for laughs, if I can get past Frankenfraud's
monotonic delivery. We'll be right back after these
messages from EZ-Wider, moveontocommunism.org, Utne
Reader, Ben and Jerry's...
LOL! Money down the drain for whoever chooses to advertise on Err America. The only thing worse than having to listen to a liberal is having to listen to a liberal on the radio. Given the chance, they'll cause more car accidents than cell phones.
