Recently, they stripped him of the power to fill Kerry's Senate seat, should it become available (it won't, though).

Dude, don't diss Romney!! I'm sure in the other 49 states he wouldn't be palatable to most conservatives, but this is MASSA-FREAKING-CHUSETTS we're talking about!! He's the best governor I can remember us ever having.
