I'm just saying that don't waste your time for .1%, if that's the number. However, I don't think that will be the number. Pee Wee Herman would get more than that. OJ Simpson would get more than that. Either of the Menendez brothers would get more than that. You threw that number out there but it is not valid. That kind of attitude is self-defeating.

And don't even try to deny that you are not exaggerating with these numbers, since you claimed that Keyes would get "less than zero" percent of the vote. Let's bring this back to reality. Okay. It's not less than zero. It's probably more than .1%. How much more? What is achievable?

Tame, I'm reminded of the Lewinsky dynamic, when the Friends types were saying 'it's only about sex' and 'you Republicans are such Puritans.' There's a whole bunch of post-moral people out there who can't see anything wrong with committing adultery to advance your career. Bills and Monicas, who see nothing wrong in lying and cheating to get ahead, and have done or would do it themselves, if the opportunity presented itself. When someone comes along of superior moral fibre, a Starr or a Keyes, their only recourse is to snipe away at the formers' motives, in order to diminish the morality gap. I'm not saying that's the motivation of all the backstabbers on this thread, but it's gotta be a factor. It's the only way to explain some of the vitriol.

Even if it's a Levin/Rocky type race, wasn't that better than a Levin/Joe Schwarz race? If Keyes doesn't run, chances are that a typical Illinois RINO would run and surely lose, and we would have watered down the GOP even more (and missed the opportunity to allow a true conservative like Keyes to have a forum to speak to moderate-to-conservative blacks and whites about how the Democrat Party betrays their principles.
