"Mama T" took the stage Wednesday. (was treated like a rock star at the gay and lesbian caucus)

"Mama T" took the stage Wednesday.

A night after giving a sedate speech to the Democratic National Convention, Teresa Heinz Kerry was treated like a rock star at the gay and lesbian caucus, where she told the packed room that "at least, if nothing else, you will have a mom in the White House."

"You can call me Mama T," Heinz Kerry said. And the crowd took her up on her offer.

Heinz Kerry never mentioned gay marriage during her 10-minute speech, but she said that "we have to make sure that those of you parents ... have the same room to maneuver, the same rights to share, the same respect to offer."

Heinz Kerry, who was joined by her two younger sons, Chris and Andre, said she would greet news that one of her children - or her husband's children - was gay "in the same way that I would if my son said 'I'm marrying this wonderful girl.'"

"What we owe one another is respect, dignity, civil rights and the generosity of spirit that has always been a great American trait," said Heinz Kerry, 65, earning herself a standing ovation. "You are pushing the envelope in the sense that it's a new time and a new day and we have as a country to respond with policies and with cultural acceptance..."

John Kerry is against gay marriage, but in favor of civil unions, which accord all the rights and benefits of marriage.

The day after addressing the convention, the notoriously candid Heinz Kerry talked to several groups, telling the Asian American caucus about the importance of parenthood.

"But I needn't say that to Asian Americans," Heinz Kerry said. "They are outstanding parents. But there are people in this country who need help."

Heinz Kerry spoke in Spanish to the Latino Caucus, commenting on how Cuban Americans are often "very angry, very hot, very emotional" because of the way they left their communist country.

But the warmest reception came from the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Caucus, where Boston activist Mary Breslauer introduced Heinz Kerry by saying, "Did she not look really hot last night?"

I haven't seen one speech of hers.
I've been forced to see "clips"
while watching the news.

Tell me, do you really think she
is tranquilized? Think she drinks?

It would be interesting to see what legal and maybe illegal drugs she is on everyday, and then what extra stuff was added when she gave her speech at the Rat Convention.

In any case it conjures up a grim DNC backstage scenario, with Terayza's minions---including John----trying to get her calmed down for the speech. Maybe she had to shoot up?

My husband is an MD and he origially pegged her for a drunk, but has since changed his mind and now thinks
she appears to be medicated.

Maybe not her normal routine, but for the convention speech she was unusually zombie-like, and definitely on something.

MaMa TRex probably looks like that before the 3 pounds of skin tinted gunnite are sprayed on her face for her photo ops.

More on the earlier story.

Teresa Heinz Kerry was treated like a rock star at the gay and lesbian caucus, where she told the packed room that "at least, if nothing else, you will have a mom in the White House."

"You can call me Mama T," Heinz Kerry said.

Democrats everywhere...this is what your party has become!

Aren't you proud? Couldn't you just BUST at how your party has become a den of moral bankruptcy and bottom-feeding pandering?

The REAL JFK is spinning in his grave...

How about both. My wife and one of our sister in laws are the hands on and trained observation RN's with over 60 years of patient care between them.

They have felt that she is a semi controlled drunk with a powerful administered medication to calm her down so the Shove It thing doesn't happen.

Look at her toned down behavior after the near violent Shove It behavior.

Thanks. The grim reality of MaMa TRex compared to class of Laura as you noted is incredible.

Please send the comparative photos to your email list. You will be surprised about the positive comments and thank yous you will received. Only the mentally ill of the Lunatic Left get upset, which is good.
