"Mama T" took the stage Wednesday. (was treated like a rock star at the gay and lesbian caucus)

"Mama T" took the stage Wednesday.

A night after giving a sedate speech to the Democratic National Convention, Teresa Heinz Kerry was treated like a rock star at the gay and lesbian caucus, where she told the packed room that "at least, if nothing else, you will have a mom in the White House."

"You can call me Mama T," Heinz Kerry said. And the crowd took her up on her offer.

Heinz Kerry never mentioned gay marriage during her 10-minute speech, but she said that "we have to make sure that those of you parents ... have the same room to maneuver, the same rights to share, the same respect to offer."

Heinz Kerry, who was joined by her two younger sons, Chris and Andre, said she would greet news that one of her children - or her husband's children - was gay "in the same way that I would if my son said 'I'm marrying this wonderful girl.'"

"What we owe one another is respect, dignity, civil rights and the generosity of spirit that has always been a great American trait," said Heinz Kerry, 65, earning herself a standing ovation. "You are pushing the envelope in the sense that it's a new time and a new day and we have as a country to respond with policies and with cultural acceptance..."

John Kerry is against gay marriage, but in favor of civil unions, which accord all the rights and benefits of marriage.

The day after addressing the convention, the notoriously candid Heinz Kerry talked to several groups, telling the Asian American caucus about the importance of parenthood.

"But I needn't say that to Asian Americans," Heinz Kerry said. "They are outstanding parents. But there are people in this country who need help."

Heinz Kerry spoke in Spanish to the Latino Caucus, commenting on how Cuban Americans are often "very angry, very hot, very emotional" because of the way they left their communist country.

But the warmest reception came from the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Caucus, where Boston activist Mary Breslauer introduced Heinz Kerry by saying, "Did she not look really hot last night?"

Definitely got my curiosity up.

Laura versus MaMa T Rex.

If elected MaMa T Rex will have a special hot line for gay activists to call her and to whine to her: 1 800 Mama TREX.

Really, there should be no questions, here!

Anyone know the wherabouts of her other son? I do not remember him ever being around, or saying anything.

I find that very interesting.

Eleanor (Eldie) Acheson, who was one of Hillary Rodham's roommates at Wellesley College and named Assistant Attorney General for Policy Development, in charge of choosing Federal judicial nominations by President Clinton, is a member of GLBT and currently a campaign adviser and liaison for presidential candidate John Kerry to the gay community.

"Yup," a morose John Kerry confessed to reporters. "It takes at least two of these here bad boys to keep that coke-addled bank account with legs I married "quiet" at night, IF you know what I mean.

"The good news, though," he added, "is at least she doesn't force me to watch any more. And... hey: just so long as those checks keep clearing, right...?"

Didn't mention that she ordered a limberger cheese sandwich w/onion & mustard at a micro-brewery earlier in the day. This too was buried in a Kerry article on their Wisconsin trip.

A twelve year old son of a fellow we know, came up with the T Rex thing after watching in the Shove it episode and throughout the convention.

Then, she does this MaMa T thing with the gays, which sets up the MaMa TRex handle.

Wow!

MaMa T Rex looks excited at the prospect of those big ears of corn. That is the first time I have seen her smile with the Franchurian Dork Candidate.

A night after giving a sedate speech to the Democratic National Convention.....the report says.

Sedate? That's a good word since Terayza was doped up and heavily "sedated," in order to get through her DNC speech. She could barely focus, and she slurred her words. Later, one was able to see her languid responses---she was almost in slow motion--- as the Dims stood under the confetti shower.
