A prisoner is frisked Sunday before going into another area to play soccer at Camp Redemption, the section of the Abu Ghraib prison compound housing security detainees, located on the outskirts of Baghdad. The 16th Military Police Brigade, which took over the camp on Jan. 31, says it has worked hard to upgrade conditions and rid the compound of the stigma of the prisoner abuse scandal. The fabulous Falls in Iraq are not quite as impressive as those at Niagra in New York , but still, a good wet protection suit is always advisable.

Mineman Steven Hill lowers the AN/SLQ-48 Mine Neutralization Vehicle into the Arabian Gulf on July 28 using a vehicle handling system (VHS) aboard the mine countermeasure ship Dextrous, currently deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The AN/SLQ-48 system uses a remote-controlled submersible vehicle to identify and neutralize underwater mines.
