I know, isn't that a stunning statement by Zumwalt. I get the impression that Kerry's heavy involvement in anti-war groups may have been partially caused by a huge sense of guilt over all the non-combatants that he killed in Vietnam. In any event, Kerry strikes me as a mentally unstable kook who doesn't have the stability and the sound judgement required of the President.

it means he has all the news right now, but he's not allowed to release it prior to a specific date.....

He's going to break that restraint tomorrow, and the chit will hit the fan....

Sadly this book will get the same treatment as the Gary Aldrich book from the MSM.

I was wondering what Zumwalt thought about him. Do you have a reference where I can find that quote and possibly more.

Just go to google and enter "Zumwalt and Kerry" and you will get a gazillion links to articles about things that Zumwalt (allegedly) said about "Young Kerry". The most damning quote apparently was made to a Scott Thompson, former Assistant Secretary of Defense under Reagan. Thompson claims that Zumwalt told him once that Kerry had caused a "lot of problems for Navy Brass by killing so many non-combatants and non-military targets" and that they "practically had to straight-jacket him" to keep him under control. I have not found where this quote is ever second-sourced, so we have to just determine whether Thompson is being truthful about the quote.

Probably an M79. Rounds are HE (High Explosive) for use in relatively open terrain and fleshette rounds (like a big shotgun) for use in jungle.

I received a slight wound from an M79 when a round hit a nearby tree limb during a firefight. Fortunately, I had my head down and received a tiny fragment to the back of my neck. No PH.

If proven, this could be the smoking gun that gets Kerry in serious trouble:

"While in Cam Rahn Bay, he trained on several 24-hour indoctrination missions, and one special skimmer operation with my most senior and trusted Lieutenant. The briefing from some members of that crew the morning after revealed that they had not received any enemy fire, and yet Lt.(jg) Kerry informed me of a wound -- he showed me a scratch on his arm and a piece of shrapnel in his hand that appeared to be from one of our own M-79s. It was later reported to me that Lt.(jg) Kerry had fired an M-79, and it had exploded off the adjacent shoreline. I do not recall being advised of any medical treatment, and probably said something like 'Forget it.' He later received a Purple Heart for that scratch, and I have no information as to how or whom.

Lt.(jg) Kerry was allowed to return to the good old USA after 4 months and a few days in-country, and then he proceeded to betray his former shipmates, calling them criminals who were committing atrocities. Today we are here to tell you that just the opposite is true. Our rules of engagement were quite strict, and the officers and men of Swift often did not even return fire when they were under fire if there was a possibility that innocent people -- fishermen, in a lot of cases -- might be hurt or injured. The rules and the good intentions of the men increased the possibility that we might take friendly casualties."

"It is a fact that in the entire Vietnam War we did not lose one major battle. We lost the war at home... and at home, John Kerry was the Field General."

Even as United States Senator, Kerry can't stop himself from giving aid and comfort to his Commie buddies in Hanoi.

Photograph of John Kerry meeting with Comrade Do Muoi, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, in Vietnam. Photo displayed in the War Remnants Museum (formerly the "War Crimes Museum") in Saigon. The June 2, 2004, edition of "Viet Nam News" is held beside the Kerry photograph to confirm the date the photo was taken. English-language placard below photograph reads: "Mr. Do Muoi, Secretary General of the Vietnam Communist Party met with Congressmen and Veterans Delegation in Vietnam (July 15-18, 1993)."

Dr. Corsi asked Mr. Lupetti to more thoroughly document the layout and scope of the museum, particularly the section featuring those foreign anti-war activists whom the Vietnamese communists wished to honor. He took a number of additional photos at the War Remnants Museum and elsewhere, several of which are presented below.

Dr. Corsi also contacted Dan Tran of the Vietnam Human Rights Project, who asked associates in Saigon to go into the museum to make sure the photograph of John Kerry was actually there. Mr. Tran's contacts confirmed that the photograph is still in the museum.

I'm guessing his superiors were happy to have him go...even though the Kerry campaign has only released selected records, the fools did release a fitrep that downgraded Kerry in INITIATIVE and LEADERSHIP!

The most damaging thing to be found in the fitrep reports released by the Kerry campaign is the names of the commanding officers who signed the reports. Of the 3 or 4 different names that appear at the bottom of the fitreps, 2 are Col. Hibbard and Capt. George Elliott, 2 of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth who are calling him unfit for command.

The certifies their legitimacy, in my opinion.

Kerry chose to run on his war record. He opened the door & made it fair game. Perhaps he thought questioning a veteran's service was taboo & no one would dare question him.

Even now he fails to realize the consequences of his actions post Viet Nam.

Truth has taken last place in the most important election in our lifetime.

"My name is Steve Gardner. I served in 1966 and 1967 on my first tour of duty in Vietnam on Swift boats, and I did my second tour in '68 and '69, involved with John Kerry in the last 2 1/2 months of my tour. The John Kerry that I know is not the John Kerry that everybody else is portraying. I served alongside him and behind him, five feet away from him in a gun tub, and watched as he made indecisive moves with our boat, put our boats in jeopardy, put our crews in jeopardy... if a man like that can't handle that 6-man crew boat, how can you expect him to be our Commander-in-Chief?"

When you listen to what the Swift Boat Vets say about Kerry, you realize that Kerry is a wacked-out nutty rich kid with poor judgement and a general lack of character. I have no idea why all those Democrats voted for him in the primaries. The Dems apparently do very little research on candidates before voting. Either that or the D in Dimocrat just stands for Dumb.
