President Bush signed the United States-Australia Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act today in a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden. Later in the day, Bush headed to speak at the 122nd Annual Knights of Columbus in Dallas, Texas. The President praised the group for its continued work with communities. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush, along with daughters Barbara and Jenna, greeted workers in New York City who work in buildings mentioned in the latest terror attacks. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Yes it has, I've been incredibly busy so my time on FR has been limited to just 2 to 4 hours a day instead of 12 :-)

How come, she asked, nosely? I mean, it's not like we've had a lot of snowstorms and bumper-thumpers lately!! Just people clanging into each other on the Beltway? Truthy

A few, maybe. People are pretty set in their ways. There is a very vocal liberal in our church choir, my husband left the choir rather than listen to her complaining about President Bush. Luckily I'm way on the opposite side of the room, so I don't have to hear it.

I really don't get how these kind of people can reconcile their faith with their politics.

Brilliant, gorgeous, and CLASSY....

That's a trait that BILLIONS upon BILLIONS cannot buy, obviously.

The more I hear of Kerry the more he really irritates me!

I mean along with being ugly, arrogant, and clueless he's also insulting.

I wouldn't vote for him to be dogcatcher even!

How is it that you live so close to DC but have never seen GW? Is it the local politics? I can imagine so!
But if you come to the Inauguration, we'll get you up close! We try very hard and usually make it!

Our priest is quite the character. He has very strong opinions on a whole host of topics and is never shy about expressing them. He also believes someday, the church will either allow priests to marry or allow women to be priests. They usually gets some stunned gasps too!

My friend's faith has caused her to rethink her politics....She and her family (who have been active in the democratic party for generations) will be voting for Bush this fall. Gave them Zell Miller's book plus she's been listening the Christian stations for the last year....She's seen the light! (in more ways than one)

I didn't know that Eric Clapton wrote "Lady in Red"! I love that song, and I know that the version that was played on the radio in the 80's was not sung by him, but I can't remember now who did sing it.

Okay!

Yes, it's partly the politics of the state and partly lack of transportation on my part.

Even though Maryland has a lot of conservative Republican people, certian areas, like Baltimore City are heavliy Democrat ans run the whole show as it were.

I heard that GWB won't go into Maryland to campaign. I think he's been told that MD is a lost cause.

I'm always busy during the summer months, people put off repairing their drivable wrecks until they go on vacation.

If the Pres. can get their endorsement, it will be a HUGE boost.

If the Knight of Columbus endorse anyone, it will be the President. Kerry may call himself Catholic, but President Bush has more in common morally with the Knights than Kerry does. It is a VERY pro-life organization, so it would NEVER endorse Kerry.

I have a hard time with that as well. One of my uncles is voting for Kerry. I asked him, can you be a christian and vote Democrat? My uncle is anti-abortion, he is against people living off welfare and against gay marriage. Yet he's voting for Kerry because of his union. He is such a girlie man!! I told him he needed to go back and read his bible. Probably wasn't the best response, but I cannot abide someone going against their Christian beliefs and waste their votes.

I understand that they think Maryland is a lost cause, but you would think they might schedule a rally or two in the area for the sane people :^D
I wish GW's speech to the Urban League would have been given more national coverage, that might be a catalyst in some of these more traditional democrat areas...
Then again, that might be the naive kid talking!

No, I don't. I live in Alabama, but I love Alan Keyes. I would love to see him get some experience in the Senate. How is Illinois? I keep reading that the Republican Party there is full of Rinos.

I wish he would come to Maryland, I know Baltimore City is a very Democrat area. but parts ofNorthern Anne Arundel County were I'm at are mixed.

I wished they wouldn't havr written Md off.

but OTOH, If you were to talk to some of my coworkers in Baltimore, you'd think the whoel world hated GWB.
