Sharon Stone blames US President George W Bush for the absence of a lesbian kissing scene in Catwoman - because of the current conservative climate in America.
Basic Instinct star Stone, 46, was keen to enjoy an intimate moment with Oscar-winning co-star Halle Berry, but believes a puritanical streak running through the country put an end to any potential girl-on-girl action.
Stone says: "Halle's so beautiful and I wanted to kiss her. I said, 'How can you have us in the movie and not have us kiss? That's such a waste.'
"That's what you get for having George Bush as president."
Sharon has lost the plot. She totally embarasses herself by making these type of silly statements.
Guess what Sharon? NOBODY cares......(least of all the President)
They are equally old and equally fake.
Plus, silicone tends to bulge in all the wrong places after a few years.
No Sharon,
That's what you get when Halle Berry doesn't want to engage in anything unnatural with another woman.
Fat chance that either will happen.
That's right. Unless the comic book movie is geared to adults, then it should be suitable for kids, and conservative folks don't want lesbian kissing to be portrayed as normal stuff for kids. On the other hand, George W. Bush has some indirect control over what Michael Powell and the FCC are doing to Howard Stern. They are doing what they are doing in deference to those conservative folks. And W. is taking the flack. So be it.
As for me, Halle Berry lesbo kiss in a movie will attract this paying conservative customer.
Nobody stopped Britney Spears from kissing Half of the Western World (aka Madonna) on live TV.
Well, it is the status quo for the Hollywood "anything goes" liberal crowd. And of course, GWB is the emotional, hate target of the left presently, so he gets the blame for everything - just listen to or read the leftist media -- one theme -- hate and criticize Bush.
The comment that there somehow is a "conservative climate in America" is humorous, especially to me since I live close to San Francisco..HAR..the bastion of radical, far-leftism in America. But Hollywood does not see it that way -- anything does go when you are sheltered from reality as most of them are. Pure utopian liberalism at its best. I look at Hollywood's display of social anarchy as a good display for the world as to what these people are all about, or not about, depending on perspective. Just add them to the heap of the liberal Dems in Washington and I think you have a lumbering dinosaur that is headed for the tar-pits of history.
Let us hope so. What America really stands for is just too important.
How terrible. Sharon Stone can't kiss Halle Berry in the movie and it's all Bush's fault.
Hey Sharon, for what it's worth, you can still kiss my furry little butt. How 'bout it, toots?
Nah, I think she wanted to kiss Halle, but got rejected. "Acting" it out in Catwoman was her only chance ;)
I want to kiss Charlize Therone, and I blame Bush for creating an environment where that has not happened.
I guess she hasn't watched HBO or Cinemax lately. Yeah, there's a total climate of fear and sexual repression that has taken over . . . BWAAHHHHHH!
Methinks she has the concepts bass ackwards. The country isn't conservative because Bush is president, Bush is president because the country is conservative.
He's also the cause of "the heartbreak of Psoriasis"
/that's what I've heard
She's hoping that in spite of that, she'll be called on the carpet for her statement. She should call Rosie O'Donnell.
What in the blue hell does George Bush have to do with that?
Sharon Stone... you're grose!
Does anybody have any questions about what they want to change this country into?
Just what I want to see.. an over the hill skank sucking face with a younger self absorbed skank.... Oh wait, didn't MTV already do that?
An old, tired has-been needs to be "relevant" in Hollywood circles, so this is what she comes up with?
I never got the chance to kiss Elvis (the lean years!) and I'm going to sue GWB for it...if John Edwards will take the case and channel Elvis right back to the present.
I just want to hear "Kentucky Rain" one more time!
Just more proof that these leftists are whacked out. This is about the most ridiculous story that I've ever seen.
