Teresa Urged Understanding for Terrorists on 9/11 Anniversary
NewsMax .com ^ | 8/03/04 | Carl Limbacher

Just six-months after Sept. 11 attacks, Teresa Heinz Kerry urged Americans to try to "understand the roots of international terror," while contending that the Sept. 11 attacks were best viewed an "isolated catastrophe."

In a March 10, 2002 Boston Globe op-ed piece co-written with the late children's TV star Fred Rogers, the would-be first lady said: "We pray that one day we will view Sept. 11 as an isolated catastrophe, triggering a successful world campaign to try to understand the roots of international terror as well as to work cooperatively to remove it."

The rest of the Heinz Kerry editorial focused primarily on advice to parents on how to help their children cope with the 9/11 attacks.

It's not clear why she and her coauthor departed from the topic at hand to urge understanding for global terrorists.

I like her, but she was wrong about this. WTC911 was not an isolated event, and it was neither a catastrophe nor a tragedy. It was a deliberate criminal act, one of thousands of the type, large and small, around the world.

In order to root something out, you need to understand the root. This is true. When I am pulling dandilions, I use a long tool to dig them out. When I am pulling milkweed, I don't bother.

As for working cooperatively, I don't think the Islamakazis are going to work cooperatively on their own extermination, and that is really the only acceptable endpoint, IMHO.

Can you imagine these two as America's first couple, representing the US around the world?

I am trying not to. These two almost make the Clintons look good.

When he loses, she will ditch him. He'll have to look for another rich, spoiled woman.

And she will have to look for another ambitious Senator willing to sell his soul. Fortunately for Teresa, these are a dime a dozen...

If only we would understand them, we could live in Peace with them. Of course, all you men will need to grow a beard and all you women will need to cover up from head to toe.

"understand the roots of international terror,"

Wonder what she'll say next? Terrorism is "free speech"?

Gee Teresa, Pearl Harbor was just an isolated incident and we should have just gotten to know and understand the Imperial Japanese better and ask forgiveness for causing them to attack us. That bad Rosevelt administration stopped selling them scrap iron and oil because sanctions like this were the best way to prevent Japanese conquest and rape of all of Asia and not with premptive military strikes or showing force. It was our fault for not understanding the Japanese need for would conquest with Germany and getting in their way. We should have surrendered like the French did to Hitler.

Isn't it amazing how these Libs have to constantly shove their "affection" for each other in our faces. You don't see George and Laura always grabbing at each other and yet there isn't a doubt in MY mind that they are mad about one another. The Gores,Kerrys and ,of course the Clintons are always groping each other. Well, maybe Hil has pulled back a bit.

Europe also "tolerated" attacks by the Barbary Pirates and paid them protection money. Thomas Jefferson did not believe this to be the appropriate action.

She's the worst thing that ever happened to the Kerry campaign. She could sink Kerry all by herself. LOL!
