The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Red Dawn was full of good valid tactical doctrine for any guerilla force: Small unit raids and ambush operations, as well as sniping and sabotage. But they also ably demonstrated the difficulty of using conventional forces to engage guerillas in both directions.

Remember when they were trying to get the Colonel (Powers Boothe IIRC) back across the front lines and saw the combined arms combat between air and tank forces and got caught by a pair of soviet tanks? They got away, barely and still managed to lose the Colonel and one of their own. The lesson is only engage when you are fairly assured of victory or escape and the terrain favors you. That's why the sniper is so feared on the modern battlefield. A single man, correctly armed and capable with his weapon can stop an entire army in it's tracks.

You think the globalists and RATS who are after our guns really care about handguns, shotguns or even "assault weapons?" They want that "sporting use rifle!" That's why this crappola with J. Effin' KERRY making photo ops with a skeet gun in his hands and mewling about hunting as a boy for deer and other game rings so false. His mantra is I support hunting as the 2nd Amendment right is just so dang transparent and fraudulent! But so many of the traditionally conservative Bubba'CRATS will fall for it, because they want to believe him.

"They want that "sporting use rifle!"

That was a lesson of the recent book, "All Enemies Foreign and Domestic," as you know. But gun bans really put the country in a bad position with regard to any "Red Dawn" scenario.

General Al Haig once said that it was the most realistic movie he had ever seen. Now, that's both a very serious and a kind of funny statement.

"Too bad he did not meet up with you."

I used to think about that. I wouldn't relish the thought of confronting such pure evil, but I wish it had been me instead of poor Manny Tobada. Not because I'm all that or stronger or such. But because I have the proper mindset to at least stand a chance. If he killed me, at least I'd have died with my hands locked around his throat. LOL

Remember the very first Highlander film? When Ramirez was explaining the Currigan to MacLeod? And MacLeod asked how one fights such evil? Ramirez replied: With Heart, Faith and Skill, but in the end, there can BE only ONE. Heart, faith and skill is all anyone can draw upon when facing the Danny Rollings that stalk this earth. That goes for terrorists, too. Heart, faith and skill. Sound like Todd Beamer? Let's ROLL!

Interesting point.

Actually, in the Koran, there is a story of Mohammed rescuing a baby bird who had falled out of its nest. I wonder if this permits Muslims to really like birdies.

Gun bans do put a crimp into a rebellion. But I maintain that (as I have just posted elsewhere) Heart, Faith and Skill are the driving force of freedom. There is a total gun ban in effect in Cuba. But if I was there, and I wanted my freedom bad enough, I could amass an arsenal pretty fast. Just wait for a drunken soldier to stagger home from the brothel or bar with his AK47 one dark night and knife him or thump him out and take his gun. Do it again the next night and the next and pretty soon you've got your arms. If I care to start with a .22 rabbit gun and I'm skilled enough with it, I can get myself a tank in short order. Live off the enemy in all areas. Be fleet, stealthy and skilled and you can prevail. Unfortunately, the Cuban people left on the island have now been bred into hungry rabbits who scamper about after having languished under the iron boot of Fidel for more than two generations. Their spirit has been almost literally bred out of them.

Wow, such wisdom and inspiration teach many lesons; and I think you've just outlined plots for a couple of great movies, too.
