my cheque is in the mail!

I have often thought about spiritual ideas...when and where and how. Let me share something with you. From all of my reading, I have come to the conclusion that at the time of the Exodus, at the time of great travail, 'plagues' and 'portents' the Hebrews and the arab tribes as they crossed paths in the desert, each made a choice; how to interpret what was happening. The leader of the fleeing slaves, Moses, saw salvation in the power of One God who moved the earth, who had the power to both destroy and create. Infinitely wise, Moses understood the word of God...thou shalt not...

Whereas the arabs, in the 'black cloud' they followed (yet could not reach) saw destruction as a GIFT from their planetary god. Allah they thought, had created destruction on their behalf. And when you think of it, that's a natural thought progression for a basically parasitic culture.

Mohammadanism came along some two thousand years later. Islam is nothing but the enshrinement in a 'holy' book of what the tribes from the Peninsula always were. It's cultural! The arabs chose pillage, Moses chose monotheism.

"I was just referring to the discovery of all those little holes drilled behind the mirrors in lavatories in various jets"(jerseygirl)

I mentioned Col. Mendoza at the time you replied, Mendoza didn't mention drilling holes into the cockpit. He mentioned a lot of other important stuff about airplanes though. I thought you were implying a connection between the drilled holes and Mendoza.

I read the articles about the guy drilling holes into the cockpit via the LAV and the door was kicked in or something like that. That is an important development if true. I want to know: DID IT REALLY HAPPEN? Why don't we see the evidence of this(pictures of said holes, kicked in door, etc.)? Where are the people that witnessed the door being kicked in? I don't think the Lib/demon media could keep it down this long if true. Could they?

It's pretty crazy. Note that airport workers can bypass security. [Pilots and flight attendants can not]

NJ Transit Workers Getting Anti-terror Video

Aug 9, 2004 5:19 pm US/Eastern

(1010 WINS) (NEWARK) NJ Transit has sent an anti-terror video to its 3,000 rail workers, whose trains will undergo increased scrutiny during the upcoming Republican National Convention.

NJ Transit's trains stop in New York's Penn Station, directly below the Madison Square Garden convention site. The convention is scheduled to run from Aug. 29 to Sept. 2.

The 15-minute video, "Warning Signs," was produced by the Federal Transit Administration and discusses how to recognize passengers and packages that might pose a threat.

Some conductors told The New York Times they worry they are being asked to act as law officers.

"The DVD was distributed to employees in the interest of giving them the tools they need to identify suspicious activity and report it," NJ Transit spokesman Dan Stessel said Monday. "Our goal was to empower our employees, not scare them."

The video asserts, "As transit employees, we are the first line of defense against those who wish to disrupt and disable America's public transportation system, so it is imperative that we know what to do if and when we encounter the warning signs of terrorism."

Conductors are represented by Local 60 of the United Transportation Union, which covers about one-third of the NJ Transit rail workforce. Xavier D. Williams, the local's general chairman, said NJ Transit has not given employees enough information.

"We've been given a video and offered a class, but other than that, we're in the dark right now," Williams told the newspaper.

Stessel said the agency has had four meetings with union leaders, and will be conducting a third employee forum on security this week.

Steps being taken the week of the convention include inspections of New York-bound trains before they leave rail yards, and another inspection before they enter New York, Stessel said.

NJ Transit will also ban the use of overhead luggage racks, seal trash receptacles and close most bathrooms on trains, Stessel said.

Not all elements of the security plan for the convention will be disclosed, he said. "There will be a number of countermeasures that will not be visible to our customers, but will be there," Stessel said.

About 60,000 of NJ Transit's 100,000 weekday rail riders go into New York on about 280 trains.

Snip from the Washington Times.....first part was the woman reporting the so called musician group.

The pilot confirmed Mrs. Jacobsen's experience was "terribly alike" what flight attendants reported on the San Juan flight.
He said there is "widespread knowledge" among crew members these probes are taking place.

A Middle Eastern passenger attempted to videotape out the window as the plane taxied on takeoff and, when told by a flight attendant it was not permitted, "gave her a mean look and stopped taping," said a written report of the San Juan incident by a flight attendant.

The group of six men sat near one another, pretended to be strangers, but after careful observation from flight attendants, it was apparent "all six knew each other," the report said.

"They were very careful when we were in their area to seem separate and pretended to be sleeping, but when we were out of the twilight area, they were watching and communicating," the report said.

The men made several trips to the bathroom and congregated in that area, and were told at least twice by a flight attendant to return to their seats. The suspicious behavior was relayed to airline officials in midflight and additional background checks were conducted.

A second pilot said that, on one of his recent flights, an air marshal forced his way into the lavatory at the front of his plane after a man of Middle Eastern descent locked himself in for a long period.

The marshal found the mirror had been removed and the man was attempting to break through the wall. The cockpit was on the other side.
The second pilot said terrorists are "absolutely" testing security.

"There is a great degree of concern in the airline industry that not only are these dry runs for a terrorist attack, but that there is absolutely no defense capabilities on a vast majority of airlines," the second pilot said.

You're right. I didn't really think you were a PETA member.

I don't usually like liver, but elk liver is delicious, if prepared properly. They don't have a gall bladder (at least that's what I was told), therefore, the liver does not have that "biley" flavor.....especially good with bacon and onions.

BTW... I often see bighorn sheep around here. Don't hunt them, though.

Note that airport workers can bypass security.

In the late 1970's, I worked as a summer job (during college) for Wackenhut Security in a variety of postings. ONE of those postings was at a large international airport. I could go anywhere in the airport, no limits, even right onto the ramps. I don't know the limits currently put on security guards, but I'll bet it's not much.
